- Yay!!! First weekend is done and it was so silly and fun!! Had a lot of anxiety going into this tour, and I think I managed it very well. So that's cool!! It's so interesting to see what everyone's priorities are and where our anxieties lie. Some of us are focused on COVID safety, others are worried about travel, or FOMO, or preparedness! All are valid. And I think I worried about literally all of those categories. AND THAT'S OK!!!
My plan is to post a video every Wednesday.... We'll see if I can achieve this. I learned from this video that I should not take so much footage because this was overwhelming. But I got it done!!! Thanks to editing as I go!!! Next vid will hopefully (for my sake) be shorter! 🙏🏼

Also, as someone who has literally been unable to get on flights at the gate and cancelled trips due to anxiety stomach issues, I appreciate how open you are with your anxiety here. Everyone's experiences are different, but a lot of people go through similar things, and it's encouraging seeing someone so special and talented overcoming those things! We appreciate you and these vlogs!

1. I can’t believe you felt under-rehearsed because my impression in Boston was that this was immaculately planned & performed! I was amazed how you all knew where to go to / stand each time with this being the first show!!!
2. At least I can understand why I had difficulty understanding the “new” Christmassy lyrics in the first part 😂
3. I’m very impressed by your whole safety planning & execution. Lots of mask-wearing, splitting in cars etc. WOW! I felt so safe at the show too because everyone was masking. Only sad for you that you couldn’t see my massive smile the whole time.
4. I now feel extra special having this VIP badge knowing you guys put it together on the day of the show 🤯

25:19 i was apart of this small group that stood there waiting because we had been waiting about 10+ years for this show to happen and it made my 2022 to see y’all perform. It was an awesome show and thank you for saying hi to us at least.

It was such a blessing to see you all live after 3 years of watching these shows through a screen. You're all such wonderful, talented people. And watching the BTS of how hard you all worked just makes me appreciate you all even more.

Meredith thank you so much for all this behind the scenes content. Seeing you guys on opening night was probably the highlight of my year, you guys looked like rock stars and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it ever since. I didn't notice any mistakes, other than Lauren's track not starting but that just made the show even better (I even got the whole thing on video). My favorite part of starkid is being able to see a group of amazing friends just hang out and have fun together, I loved watching you guys jam out to each other while on stage and seeing the bts of you guys travelling and messing around during rehearsal is a whole other aspect that I'm so grateful we get to see too. Thank you for being so transparent about your anxieties regarding the tour, we're all endlessly thankful to you for doing this. I never thought you guys would go on tour again so being able to see you guys in my city on opening night, with a good friend who introduced me to AVPM years ago, is a memory I will cherish forever. I can't wait to see footage from the rest of the tour, I know you're going to rock it! 💕
Thank you for these BTS vlogs, I love them! And I knew from the last one that you didn't have much rehearsal time, so I'm still in awe of Queen Bee's coreography! I can't believe James, Lauren and Brian pulled off a whole (very complicated) coreographed number in such a short time!
I saw you guys in New York (yeah, I may have planned a whole trip to New York from Italy just so I could finally see you guys live) and it was an amazing concert; the set list for act one was insane, and I had no doubts that I would love VHSCC live as much as I did in digital form!
You're not the first artist I hear speaking about how much stressful touring can be, but if it helps any please know that we appreciate all that you guys do to put up a show like this! Have fun this weekend with your home crowd!

I remember being a fan back during space tour and apolalyptour and feeling so amazed by the Starkid’s success and tour, and now it feels like a high school reunion of old friends getting together again for a good time. :) thanks Meredith for giving us a wonderful, relatable behind the scenes look at the tour!

omg i totally understand the feeling of being stressed about the driver being stressed and this is a personal thing but it makes it so much worse when the person has road rage because then i feel like a burden!! but thank you for sharing that perspective of yours, it made me realize that there are a lot of other people who think that way. also, the entire video was a highlight but you and dylan laughing at jamie's earplug was so good

You all were amazing-I had tears from experiencing all these amazing songs live from the original artists (my school has done Firebringer and TTO). I’m so lucky I got to see y’all in Philadelphia! We live like 11 hours away but my dad made a super last minute decision to do a crazy 25 hour round trip there and back just for the show. It was crazy but so much fun 😂

Let me pause the video to comment quickly how loud I laughed that you call him “Prince Charles”… like, that’s the one that now isn’t a prince anymore. He’s the king. It’s been a whole thing because the queen died. Now Charles is king. He’s been prince for many decades of his life, but I’m pretty sure he’s also very happy that he can now finally be king (not happy, that his mom died, but, you know…). So cute that you couldn’t care less about any of this 😂
