Working on Our Doors Are Open and Show Stopping Number were some of my favourite sequences. It's hard to inject artistry into an edit like this whilst also allowing the performances to carry themselves along, but I think I did them justice!
@declanalexander Corey was insane. Another standout of this show was Jeff Blim performing "Nerdy Prudes Must Die." I mean, personally, I think Will was much better, but there's just something magical about Jeff performing it. And then there's Clark singing "When I Was." He sounds so good whenever he sings it.
I’ve already thought this, but this concert really solidified my belief that Corey needs to cast in a more main character role in the future. His voice is a DREAM and his stage presence is so strong. Corey getting more solos is not a want but a need.
Learning that “Not Alone” was originally meant to be an original single makes SO much sense. It’s honestly the song from AVPM that I listen to the most and will come to me (when I’m trying to sleep) the most. I always felt like it stood out in the musical. Yes it fit the scene, but it felt like such a great independent song too. I wonder what an alternate universe would look like if Darren did sell it and it was on the radio in the 2010s

Joey and Lauren singing "Falling in love" was absolutely perfect!! The crowd joining in was freaking awesome!!! So much more awesome when you know they are married xox

I swear, Jeff Blim didn’t NEED to put so much energy into his bits here, but the fact that he DID is AMAZING! An indescribable level of silly. I know there are a TON of people who’ve commented this, but thank you for this! I’ve never been able to go to a live show, and having such a well-produced version of it to watch online means so much to me. Incredible editing skill on display as well, especially considering the initial footage collected.
Hey thank you! That's what 10 years of practice gets ya I guess! My hope is that at some point you'd forget it wasn't traditionally "shot" like some of their others. Maybe next time a live show comes around I'll try and do the same thing! Better yet, I'll bring my own camera, film this shit in 6K, be the hero all starkid fans need... Jeff wrote the music For NPMD so that makes a lot of sense! You can hear his demo of High School Is Killing Me only using his voice in the trailer for NPMD.
Sidekick is one I really loved, and I think it's one of the best filmed and edited sections too, it's just got a great flow, great song, great performance. Love it.

Yes, I waited about a week to start to make sure I had a good amount of sources to work from. As I worked on it better ones continued to emerge. I'm sure if I started this project NOW it would even look quite different, but I was also worried about timeline, and I'm proud of how this turned out!

I did my best to hide the switches but sometimes, there were inconsistencies. And now you must be punished for pointing out my flaws! In Black Friday, at 40:33, between Gary's lines, there's a cut where almost everybody's body position changes. Gary goes from hunched over to standing straight up, Linda is looking in a different direction, and even the shopper behind them is stood further back in the shot they cut to! Enjoy my failings, as well as Team Starkid's!
Everytime I see Meredith and Brian singing songs from the hatchet field series makes me really wish they were part of it, and wish Joe walker was in it too… and Chris…. Damn I love star kid

And the other super popular song from it relies on Joe Walker. Neither of whom were there. I mean, they COULD have had Jeff sing "Orphaned At 33." Or, and I would have paid good money to see this, have Meredith sing "A Thousand And One Nights" with her husband, Brian. Or if they wanted to shake it up, turn it into a Joey and Lauren duet?
