Vocally I think NPMD is starkids best all-round vocal performance, maybe because it’s a higher quality production and video but it’s just soooo satisfying to listen and the harmonies?! And the improvement of each individual actors performance is so impressive

I think that part (in my mind) represents Grace’s final descent into madness and the Lords in Black finally gaining full control over her. “Darkness will save my soul” is definitely something a dark overlord would tell you in order to convince you not to seek out help from those in the light/good

I remember the first time I discovered NPMD, I couldn’t stop listening to “Literal Monster” because I would consistently replay Max’s part just to hear him sing the word “kind”. It was so satisfying.
Every song has moments that just give me that feeling 😂 Everyone had fucking rent due and the end is the literally best Also when Joey sings "one of us in love" in cool as I think I am reprise, I literally melt. And all of the summoning does something to me.
I really think this is the first Hatchetfield show that has done Lauren and Joey's voice justice. Like they didn't sing much in TGWDLM, and as much as I love Black Friday, the songs they were given in that show just don't do it for me in terms vocals. This show made me really appreciate their voices for the first time. Like Firebringer is pretty good for Lauren and Starship is good for Joey, but it's good seeing them really leaning into their voice types in this show.
