You've given some good pointers here, just what i was hoping to see, the removal of material from the pistons was my main concern and you have answered that, thanks mate.
If I'm not mistaken, that is a very conservative approach to material removal. I felt like you could have removed another 2gms from each piston without any real trouble. I would like to go more into the removal of the little end 'rib' / I'd like to know what you can really do with a stock cast piston. I have an Alfa 2.0l which I want to lighten and balance and I'm wondering how far I can go with stock parts.
Just something to remember is a 1 g reference with these cheap scales so don't worry to much about 1g its within reference of the scale if using scales like these.
