The timer in the car is WRONG! In the real world it manages to pull of a 2.8 ish. Probably need to use a draggy, not the car timer that needs recalibrated…
My 2024 Z06 shut down one day with only about 100 miles . Then engine light came on . After 3 tries to put in drive managed to drive home. Took to Chevrolet dealer next day. Problem with diagnostics. They updated my Z06 everything normal then.
Heck Mike, I’ve had like 5 CEL’s since getting my Z06 😂 I’m used to it. Onstar has told me the same thing as far as taking it in in 7 days on most of them. I did have one they wanted checked next day. Hopefully it won’t be a big issue, it’s not a flashing CEL. I also just found out my car has the recall on the seatbelts but parts aren’t available yet. Don’t sweat the small stuff, enjoy the car. I know I am!

Engine light DTCs - $03 P0700 - Trans Control System (MIL Reqst) P0EFF - Fault code not found Pending DTCs- $07 P0EFF not found PRM DTCs - $0A Has no faults ...what gives on your e-Ray dice this happened for you? Personally I won't be able to get back to my dealers for their attention to my need anytime soon.

Yep mine too! I replaced it with an antigravity battery. Yes it is $1000 dollars but damn this thing fires off so freaking fast. Totally worth it, not to mention if it ever does go dead it has a built in jump start.
I hope this new platform does well for all E ray owners, and yourself alike. But as you can attest, I chose my 18 Camero 1SS for the simplicity of it all as it is my forever car! It’s seems the more tech the more issues?
Hey Mike, I had the same thing happen to my Eray. The dealer worked with the engineers and it was a loose connection to a plug. They needed to go up through the bottom of the car to get to it. It took them two days to correct t it.
Mine was at the generator connector X1 Pin2 F Terminal signal CKT 23 gray wire not fully seated in connecter. All good now. Broke my own rule not to buy the first year a new model comes out but this car is way better than my 2017 Z06 convertible in blade silver. New new ride is artic white with carbon flash nacelles and convertible top
I didn't drive it, my dealer got me right in. Would rather be safe than sorry with a new model. The engineers had them check connector G178 first. Because of all the panels takes time to get to the areas. I now have a recall to my seat belt retractor with no parts available to correct. Your car should be good on that one. My car was built on the very last day of the window for the recall
My Z06 has already thrown 2 nonsense codes. in park run the car through 7-10 start stop cycles and it should reset. If it returns you have an issue if not then simply chalk it up to GM software nonsense.
Fabulous car and so exciting to see Corvette moving into real high performance delivery, F1 can’t be wrong and exciting to hear Porsche are considering something similar for the 911. I would love to own an E Ray! Of course everyone has different opinions and that is always welcomed.

I did my research on the e-ray! It's not a hybrid in the traditional sense, it was engineered specifically for a performance enhancing element for the corvette! I thought it was really interesting! Secondly, the e-ray has the wide body from the z06 which I thought was cool!
Awesome car. With all the technology in these new cars, there is no reason the car shouldn't show and state EXACTLY what the problem is on the DIC. Ohhh, don't feel to special...all GM cars are basically shipped with a CEL

Oh I’m not hating on the hybrid car. I’m hating on the greedy Chevrolet dealers that probably ran you through the wringer buying an expensive check engine light at two hundred miles. There are buyers out there with transmissions that are failing with two hundred miles on the clock. Such an awesome car to be built this shitty.
Unfortunately, GM did not talk the transmission correctly on the assembly line and some of those Corvettes having transmission problems and some people have had to put a new transmission after 500 miles ridiculous

All these issues with the C8 are worrisome. I am on the list to get a 2025 Z06, but now I am worried it is not such a great idea. I just sold my Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio after being stranded too many times, and was hoping the Z06 would be more reliable.

I know you like to move on from cars pretty quick just don’t want to see you caught in the downward spiral I believe the ERAY is going to experience . Just my opinion Mike.
Quite right but much more. It isn't just the addition of another completely autonomous electric powertrain that can function independently of the gas engine...but, the numerable computers and sensors that allow both powerplants to work together synergistically. So complexity increase isn't 2 x's, but rather 2.5 X's more complex compared to a base Stingray or Z06.
Never gonna happen. 5000 pounds will just never corner/handle/brake well enough. Not to mention the 1000 mile tire life that would result. Someday maybe with a new lightweight battery technology though.

Bunch of people out here blaming "tHe HyBRid" forgetting that first gens of a lot of vehicles run into hickups including the Corvetts. Quick reddit quote: "The worst are generally going to be the first years of any generation. 97-00’ on the C5 (EBCM replacement, Torque Tube on Manuals) 05-07’ on the C6 (4-speed auto, fuel system, LS2) 15-17’ on the C7 (Fuel system, cracked wheels) Not saying later years for each generation don’t come with their own unique problems, but usually the earlier years have quirks that later get ironed out." Hopefully it is just an assembly issue and nothing more. Good luck!
Mike, Andrew at CSP found a button to disengage the front motor so he can dyno the rear only. Its up on his channel. Just a cool thing to know that you can fully disengage the front motors for emergency purposes.
If I'm "hating on it" it would not because it's not fully electric. It would be because it's not fully gas. Nonetheless it's a cool and beautiful car and I hope you enjoy it and have the best of luck with it.
Glad you got your car. Looks great. Still a new model working out all the bugs. Hope they start producing more of these soon to get more of them on the road. I'm on long wait list at several dealers for mine. Can't wait to get mine. Still have my 2021 HTC Z51 to play with while I wait.

Not the fist time a car has has a CEL. You have a warranty. Take it to the Dealer, have it sorted out. Let us know what you find out. Silver lining here is more content for the channel.

Reach out to Rick Conti. I think they had a similar problem on tech Tuesday with a vehicle. It’s a wire sensor on one of the front motors.
I sold a new Z06 to get an ERAY. The haters have short memories of the 2.1 0-60 time. The car smokes everything.

Same here, first light came on at 98 miles then it cleared itself. Now 600 miles dodnthe same thing and cleared itself. What was your results?

I had the same thing happen to my ERay. Only 300 miles on the OD. The dealer has had it for over a month and they can’t figure it out. Good luck.

I had a check engine light come on in my Z06 during the break-in period. It just went away on its own in a couple days.

Not the fist time a car has has a CEL. You have a warranty. Take it to the Dealer, have it sorted out. Let us know what you find out. Silver lining here is more content for the channel.

Just a miss fire …. Happens if you use different octane fuel … code goes away after a good run threw and fill again
