Ok, so outside of the obvious design choice that primes must be based around the original release frame, I think I have a hunch in why valkyr Prime looks like base instead of gemini. So, in the lore, before the tenno were introduced in the origin system, warframes were basically attack drones created by using human subjects and the helminth strain, and they backfired for been too agressive (example: rhino prime codex and ballas vitruvian entry), but that was not true to all pre-tenno warframe (proto waframe) Kullervo second crime (cowardice) stated that he did nothing when the orokin started destroying their failures: the proto-warframes. A case could also be made for Dagath and Lavos. Both of their stories dont have an old war time stamp, so they could have been from the first batches, and the stories compliment their design (Lavos got his snakes and Dagath some of her powers, by being given a name). So original valkyr could have been demeed a failure not for being uncontrollable, but weak. So, her creator (not necessarily Ballas) tortured her for being a waste of resources, and her true potential was unleashed. Later, when the primes were created for the tenno to fight in the old war. To reconstruct valkyr has a prime, the same torture method was implemented, to instigate her powers.
As I understand the leverian, if there were to ever be a varuna prime, she would have to be separate from the wolves, perhaps with them being summon-able one by one like Venari with Khora instead of floating heads
Valkyr prime is to Gersemi what Ember prime is to Ember. Tenno after the fall of the Orokin had no means to mass produce Primes so they went with simpler desings of the same frame. The only reason we have normal valkyr looking like she does is because Alad captured her OG normal from (gersemi) and experimented on her.
Mass production is never mentioned in the lore. After the fall of the Orokin what happened to the frames isn't mentioned, saying they went with simpler designs is completely made up. You can already see normal frames in use during the Old War.

My guess is that valkyr Prime and any other frame that probably shouldnt have a prime because of lore reaspns is the result from a separate strand of time like the drifter. Im probably forgetting a few things but iirc the drifter's time line only exists cause they stayed on the zariman and at some point theyre timeline intertwined with the main timeline making it canon to the main story, thats my theory with some of the primes. Who knows maybe the reaspn why that is, is because limbo prime is in the background making sure we get some sweet ass primes by forcing all side timelines containing them to join with the canon time line
Honestly, at this point, the whole "Primes were the original Orokin versions of the Warframes" lore is now in question given the fact that a Primed version of Revenant, who only gained his current form long after the fall of the empire, exists. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if it's revealed that was only true for *some* Primes, particularly those of older frames, and that the Tenno eventually reverse-engineered the techniques the Orokin used to Prime their frames and applied the Priming method to newer ones like Revenant, possibly Xaku, Lavos, Dagath, etc. in the future. Maybe Valkyr Prime being based on post-Alad Valkyr was due to her being one of the new Post-Orokin Primes, and that the original Gersemi version was only discovered by the Tenno _after_ the Priming research for Valkyr based on the skinned variant was already underway.
Primes being the original versions hasn't been canon for some time now, a few years even. We already know Revenant Prime was "made" as a result of Eternalism and not from the main timeline we play in. Valkyr isn't a post-Orokin Prime at all.
Honestly the existence of the void gives a perfectly valid reason for why Valkyr prime can exist. We already know that the void does shenanigans with time and that objects that are touched by the void can become nonlinear or even result in overlaps with other timelines. That's why we can have drifter and operator. They're both the same person, except different events played out for them that led to different outcomes, and yet they both exist and are even aware of each other. So prime Valkyr is just a golden age Valkyr who never was captured and experimented on by Alad V. Or maybe she's a Valkyr who was rescued and repaired to be better than ever, enduring her trauma and coming out better on the other side of it all. Regardless of how it plays out, Valkyr and Valkyr prime can both exist at once because void magic is stupid.
i think someone probably need to go through all 3 and point out the parts that are basically the same. there are a lot of small details on the ger that match the corpus modified version and the prime.
Valkyr prime is due to a retro reactive reality distortion Basically when Alad V tortured Valkyr 1 she unleashed a scream throught the void across time and space for help. So Balas made Valkyr Prime (VP) out of a nightmare he had and when he activated VP she connected to Valkr ( V1)s memories driving her into a frenzied murder vengeance rampage What we see in her trailer is VP after thousands and thousands of years clawing her way to saving V1 from the corpus. Alad V is proficsed in the past by VP meaning she has now become the litterally boggy woman of the corpus. Why V1 scares the piss out of the corpus because VP has been on the hunt for YEARS so they see their doom when V1 takes forme.

well, this is pretty simple Valkyr prime was made after her modified version, and lore-wise normal and primes existed at the same time so unless there is a timeline to otherwise suggest this is not the case, this is straightforward. But maybe I'm overlooking something
There's no definite timeline on whether Valkyr (Gersemi) or Valkyr Prime came first. All we have is that the default Valkyr we farm from Alad/buy from market lacks the blue skin that the Gersemi has and it matches up with the colour of the Zanuka as she was used as part of the Zanuka Project.
For me the real problem is Gameplay, how can the same skilled balanced warrior be enraged before her experimentation? Of course they wouldn't change it, but still it's my only problem, I wanted to see what a pre experimentation Valkyr would fight like
Whatever man. I gave up years ago. Her abilities would also be different as well if her Prime came before the Corpus experiments right? Aren't her personality and rage based abilities directly due to the anguish of the experimentation she underwent?
Im pretty sure this is the case of not being able to rebuild it properly, i see it like, Valkyr Prime was the original, Gersemi was the attempt to recreate it, like all normal warframe variants, nowadays, without the original plans, the corpus failed at recreating it and modified it into what we know as the normal Valkyr, so in this case, haves sence the "pre corpus" thing they said, normal valkyr would be gersemi.
@@tehaisbagus not to create, but to recreate, like we do with the foundry, imagine not geting all the blueprints but yet building the warframe, it would come out all messed up.
Yeah there's nothing about that in the lore either, the closest thing was the Zanuka Project which was incorporating Warframe parts into a robot, probably due to lacking transference. Of course Alad found a way around this with the Mutalist/Infested Zanuka Collar but he'd cured of that now and normal people don't like messing with the Infested.

Every Warframe is a result of Infestation, yet they have Primes, I don't see the problem with Nidus having one. Chroma being made from 3 other frames is probably a gameplay thing. Dunno why this means he can't get a Prime though. Revenant yeah it's mentioned in the lore that he doesn't make sense so they threw Void shenanigans to explain him. Harrow and Limbo are pretty simple to me, they were made and used during the Orokin era and had a Prime, nothing really conflicts with this unless you think the Red Veil made Harrow which isn't the case. Limbo's parts were excavated, this doesn't really conflict with how there can be a Limbo Prime.
@@tehaisbagus Every warframe was a result of infestation but they weren't intendedly formed around that. Isn't Infestation like a Orokin Mistake ? Nidus whole purpose is around he being that "mistake" that we can use. This is my point of view btw
The Infestation wasn't an Orokin mistake, no. They were mentioned to be a weapon used against the Sentients that didn't prove to be as effective as they thought since the Sentients turned out to be immune but could still be used to hold them back, just not outright eliminate them like the Warframes later would. Nidus isn't built around being a "mistake", his only lore was that he was an Old War relic, while his Prime lore just says he uses a primal strain of the Infestation which isn't elaborated on. All of the Warframes were infested to begin with, Nidus' main gimmick is that he uses infestation abilities.

NOPE she's got a high damaging invisibility WOO WOO SLASH EVERYBODY button 🤪
What dissection? She was never mentioned to have no armour after getting the outer skin removed, the restraints being on don't really mean anything since she escaped, Valkyr Prime has more armour than the normal Valkyr too. I feel like you're trying to instill your dislike of the frame's mechanics onto the lore itself.
@tehaisbagus her skin and other parts of her were sliced off that is a form of dissection not only that it was a live dissection. Also warframes skin doubles as armor you take that off you realistically would have a weaker frame this is logically sound I don't get your problem
Whenever people say "X prime doesn't make sense because of Y lore reason" I usually reply with "it doesn't have to". Most people don't like that, I don't much care.

Imagine you're a designer that makes an "infested warframe", for me it doesn't make sense to get it and say "I wanna improve it" when you already discarded it like all the other infested ones. That's why Nidus felt rewarding as an infested warframe for me, now it looks like they said "Nah, lets make an infested warframe just because" which at the time orokins were still on I don't know if infestation was a threat as of it is now in warframe recent times, you even could look at it as an unintended Infestation Mutation, or something like that.
Valkyr never Ever made sense to begin with. shes not modified or at least not realistically enough to compensate for her DISSECTION!! lore wise she technically has no armor/ should not have amore because its grafted onto zanuka and she still has her restraints bolted into her. so i feel if anything she should be a weaker frame right??
I don't get what you're talking about, sorry. Valkyr is a weaker form of Valkyr Prime, she was probably just designed to be tanky.
Whenever people say "X prime doesn't make sense because of Y lore reason" I usually reply with "it doesn't have to". Most people don't like that, I don't much care.
The thing is that usually people are wrong about the lore to begin with and get weird reasons about why "there can't be x Prime frame".
You are also right in that it doesn't need to make sense (Revenant Prime). It's primarily for money and lore can always be changed later.
