    This wisdom is helpful for stoic growth. I don’t believe that practicing stoicism in order to deal with a narcissist will change a narcissist. They’re incapable of self awareness, reflection, realization, or admitting that they’re anything less than perfect.

      Many decades ago, I had nowhere to turn for this kind of information. I didn't know I married a narcissist until six months ago when I began viewing stoicism videos online. Not only did I marry a narcissist, but I finally realized that a sister is one as well. Do they ever change? NO! I had to leave the situation after two years with an abuser. This video will help viewers identify a narcissist in their life and then they should get as far away as possible from them. No one should have to suffer being controlled by a narcissist. It's hell. I recovered and enjoy a peaceful and joy filled life during my senior years, far away from both narcissists.

    Getting the Narcissist’s speech out of your head is of utmost importance. They could be dead and gone, yet still abusing you via the repetitive phrases of negativity that will continue to haunt you unless a conscious effort is made to remove/replace these thoughts.

    • @stoicseveryday
      @stoicseveryday  25 дней назад +1

      You're absolutely right; the impact of a narcissist's words can linger long after they're gone. It's a constant battle to free oneself from those repetitive, negative phrases. It takes conscious effort and self-compassion to replace them with healthier thoughts. Recognizing this is the first step towards healing and reclaiming our mental peace."

    Watch for that Grande Finale when they know you are finally onto their games, they'll blame you for everything wrong in their lives when it's actually their own chaos and confusion about themselves which is to blame. watch for fast forwarding, hoovering you in again and again, don't fall for their charm, it is all that they have your reaction is what they live for. Imagine throwing water over a mirror.. the image of the reflection is distorted... this is what they see, a warped reality which no one can understand, not even themselves. They are deeply troubled, insecure and feed like lice from their focus, remember this...they admire, de-value then discard to everyone they know.

It is said that they were seriously neglected, psychological and emotionally. This has led to them becoming this way. Remember protect yourself but don't lose your compassion. They are often empty without having this type of behaviour. It's very sad. Be boundaried and believe in your self.

      Actually you can separate a true one out like a sore thumb. Even in a group of bullies you can tell who is just a jerk and who is the one with serious pathologies. And also Narcissism HAS indeed become an epidemic in the US on the rise since covid a long with all other mental/personality disorders. Especially since our culture has become more entitled and worship vanity more than ever. So I think we meet way more true narcissists than people with just a couple of shitty traits.

It seems that my partner has been groomed to turn on me and run away from responsibility and accountability. We are selling the house and it feels that most of the responsibility is thrown off on me. I am trying hard to see what I have done that’s cause all this. I look back in my life and see many narcs. I guess I’m teaching people how to treat me. I really never learned to stand up for myself with these folks I just continued to blame me in one way or another. Getting away from them has helped only to attract more. What am I missing here. As of now I don’t know how to best navigate my life situation. I want to change the pattern and the outcome. I have spent many years in trying to heal myself. I have not been to a psycologist. I haven’t had the resources to keep one long enough to unravel this mess. I will continue to listen to this video and trust I can make the change necessary to move to where I want to be. Naïve thinking: your advice is perfect but not to be of any use when the narcissist is your mother, who doesn't have anybody to take care of, her character indeed never changes, she lies about everything, important or not, manipulates all the time, has no talents, no achievements of the life of any kind, blames everybody for her mistakes and never says sorry.....and everything said above. Blackmailes me for entire life. Guess what, I am 70 and had to come back and take care of her, she destroyed all people around her, there's no a single person wanting to be with her, she's is 93, has no education but mastered torturing me. THERE'S NO ESCAPE till death parts us. I am an empath and she doesn't care what I feel, nothing is good enough....I have to listen to it again, she is mental, abusive, selfish, all is for her and at her liking.She also uses religion, asking from me what she never deliver, i.e. humility. I could go on and on. It is difficult to believe that someone who should encourage, prise, love.....takes advantage of me.
