@@LHCbass graphics are a bit better or more detailed and populated than S44 but people dont talk as much its hard to squad lead in hll, also the sounds are not that good. And i dont like the community its filled with COD players.
@WolverineMKD having kickstarted HLL and played hundreds of hours of PS/SQ44 I have to second this. The experience in SQ44 is so much better. There's barely decent teamwork in HLL and the visual and sound FX on any of the OWI games have always been unbeaten to me.

I was lucky to play some as well this weekend. Was fun as usual when playing squad44. Some minor improvements and tweaks are needed but otherwise great.
Willl this mod be integrated into the official game? Because it will unfortunately fizzle out over time given the small playerbase. It should also be marketed on social media to draw people in.
most likely integrated like how project mercury was added to the base game. this mod is extremely well done compared to operation mercury, and for the devs of post scriptum its a win win to integrate it as you get a boost in player base wanting to play the soviets and youre letting modders do the work for you
Big HLL fan here - how do you even find a server to play squad 44? I've been trying to get into it but every time I got to play there are like two active servers...
Try getting on during EU peak times. There are usually 5-6 servers full at that time. Most players in this game are EU, ping shouldn't matter that much
people doesnt have the patience to get the essence of the game and stop playing, as someone said "the game is hard for new people but you get confortable and apreciate how good the game is as you keep playing" seriously to anyone reading this, if you are new and wanna try squad 44 be patient :)
All these games look so clunky, the animations, the whole feel of the game. And their communities are extremely hostile to beginners, especially hll. Still waiting for a company to make a good ww2 fps that's actually fun to play.
HLL is very individualistic and arcadey. Squad 44's community is generally a lot nicer and more helpful than the normal Squad can be. The animations definitely aren't great but might get worked on since the game is owned by a bigger company now

It’s not fresh, nothing these squad 44 devs have done is fresh…..this European theatre trash is so overused it’s crazy. Thats why squad 44 is dying (current player count on steam : 214) just like post scriptum died. Their newest content has been just another France map. As if I haven’t played that theatre of war non stop in every single WW2 shooter to ever exist…..now eastern front, another very overplayed theatre. Let me guess, Stalingrad… I don’t even have the energy to TRY another game like that. There is only 1 thing that would put squad 44 ahead of HLL, and make their game unique enough to survive another year…..pacific theatre. We haven’t played a true tactical shooter in the pacific theatre since the first rising storm. The close quarters and rough dense terrain would completly change the gameplay into something actually somewhat unique for this genre The amount of fresh content you can pull from this, makes it genuinely so painful to watch these devs continue to do the most unoriginal recycled BS.
Actually Squad 44 is one of the good one in term of trying to diversify the campaign. They got 1940 France as well, which you don't see it much in modern games. Only appearing in old ww2 games or mods (like fh2 and ww2 online). Complete with French uniform, their tanks, French guns of wwi and ww2, and others. Interestingly, they also got Battle of Crete, but not just with the British. You got Greek Army for the first time ever in ww2 game. Never seen that one before other than mod and usual strategy game with everyone heh. Complete with Greek weapons, like mannlicher schoenauer, fn1922, etc. Squad 44 also got the map Colmar with 1944 reorganized French force after the Liberation of Paris. That's also something. Armed with mixed of French weapons from 1940 and mixed with American weapons. Also the eastern front shown here is a mod, so it's not the dev decision and it's 1941 near Moscow instead of the usual Stalingrad. But sadly, I have to admit that it seems people actually do want those popular fronts back in every game. I am in another ww2 niche game community with dev that is open to user input about what for next campaign. There has been 4 votes so far and the winner of the polls are going to be made. You know what won the poll? 1st poll= Stalingrad, 2nd Poll= Normandy, 3rd poll= Berlin (but this poll was cancelled due to someone rigging the poll), 4rd poll= North Africa. Although the poll has things like Finnish Front, Second Sino Japanese War, 1939 Poland, Spanish Civil war, Belgium, and many others. Choices like Bulge and market garden although not winning, are very high too. Well I guess people do want those again. Good thing this time, the dev considers the 2nd place and 3rd place winner for the 4th poll. So Sino Japanese war and Finnish Front could be considered. Else the 5th poll will probably have all the Africa voter moving to the next popular front (market garden again maybe heh)
You say theres no unique theatres in the game what about early war france? Thats unique. The game sadly is not doing great due past reputation of the post scriptum.

You do realize that you can't just make a new theatre. It's a lot of work and something like the Pacific would suffer incredibly hard with optimization. Think about it - jungles with a bunch of foliage and big trees everywhere, then they would need to model completely new weapons unknown to the game, like flamethrowers and shotguns... it takes time. You severely underestimate how hard it is to create a new theatre and there is a reason that not many games have the Pacific - it's too difficult to make and implement. This also isn't made by the original devs... this is a mod as was mentioned multiple times throughout the video. The devs have a lot of fresh content though - Operation Market Garden, Siegfried Line campaign, Battle of France, Operation Mercury... there's just so much unique about this game but it seems like you haven't even played it.
