- If you haven't heard about Alvdal Vestfjell, I'm not surprised. It lies close to Rondane National Park and contains some spectacular camp spots, beautiful mountains, and a food experience you cannot find anywhere else. If you want to combine hiking with fine dining, this is your next hiking destination.
The chef at the Breisjøseter tourist cabin is also an excellent marksman, in addition to being a great chef. Check out his RUclips channel @RondaneLongRangeRLR
We parked the car at Sjølisætra and hiked 12 km to Breisjøen. The most famous mountain in the area is Storsølnkletten, and it's also worth visiting the clear water springs that lie close to the tourist cabin.
Remember to book the food experience at least two weeks in advance-it's worth it! 10/10.
We hiked for several days through Alvdal Vestfjell with 'lightweight/UL' gear back in 2014. I remember writing in my blog (remember those?!) that it was a 'hidden gem', the less dramatic and quieter cousin to Rondane's grandeur. We also stopped at that hytte for dinner and visited the nearby hot springs. It felt like true wilderness, without the difficult terrain and busy trails. Thanks for bringing back all those memories.
Hi!
I think hidden gem is suitable. That was my first thought when I planned the trip and read about the food experience. I’m definitely going back 🙌
What a stunning filming man, such a enjoyable cinematography! 🥾
Fantastic work
Thank you, Ervin 🙌
You have become my new favourite channel. Keep it up!
That is the biggest compliment you can give someone who makes content on RUclips 🤩 Thank you som much 🙌
Herlig 😊 Tusen takk for filmen, begge to! 👍

Spectacular!
Nice film, great place to hike and explore. Thank you for sharing 😊Have a great weekend 😊

HyperLite Southwest - 930gm
ME Fireflash - 950gm
Nemo Tensor insulated - 580gm
As the weather is so changeable here I sometimes take a Hilleberg or the summer version Nemo Tensor, it just depends.
Slàinte mhath 🥃
Dougie! How are you? And how’s the business going? I tried to send you a DM on instagram but I guess you didn’t get it 😊
Nice setup. Does the Durston come in a “solid” version or just a mesh inner tent?
I had too many units that night, but the experience and the food was so good that I got carried away 😊
Another super awesome video, really looking forward to every new video you share, wish you success and good luck with your awesome outdoor channel. ❤️🇸🇯
Thanks! I’m out on a new 6 day adventure as we speak 🤜
you guys take care as well! goood dining :)
For sure a very beautiful place. Looking forward to visit Norway next year ❤❤❤
Breisjøseter should be on your list 👌
Smoothly done, smoothly done sir! Cant turn down a 8 course even how good a homemade bolognese is! Keeps the weight down as well 😅 /UL it is!. Xmid Pro, Uberlite and Wm Astralite
Thank you! The meal was delicious, and the bolognese was consumed yesterday actually 👌
What a setup! I approve 🤜
Sinnsykt bra film🙌🏽 Når var du der?
Takk!
Rookie mistake - sorry about that. I will update the description when I come back from the this weeks trip ⛺️
Hi I have watched your channel for a long time and have loved 🇳🇴 turns out I’m 13% Norwegian 😁😁so I’m heading to wild camp hike next year in Norway your videos are inspiring thankyou
Hello fellow Norwegian 😊 That sounds like a great idea. There’s so many beautiful places to visit 👌
I don’t even know my combined bit 4 weight, but my tent for my solo trips already weighs around 3 kilos with my sleeping bag weighing about 2 kg. Needless to say, most multi day trips end up at around or over 20 kilos every time.
I pack lite so I can bring too much camera gear 😊 In Scandinavia you have to pack for four seasons all year around, som that’s totally understandable 👍
nice!
❤
Hey Hansen, I'm Danish and curious-do you wear Brynje clothing too?
I have some clothes from Brynje -
most base layers 👌
Takk! Det var hyggelig å høre.
Fin setup du har 👌 Cumulus lager fine soveposer.
👏👌👌⛺️⛰️🇳🇴🤠
