    Huge fan of FFXI whenever it was first released back in early 2000's don't have time to play anymore, so I get my nostalgia kick watching you. Thanks for this.

      That is so nice of you to say! Thank you very much! I was really intimidated to play it (being my first MMO), but I am having a blast with it. What were some of your favorite parts of the game?

      @@moiremusingslongplays the music really takes me back, but I remember the grinding was insane! For it's time it was such a massive game, I loved all the different variety of areas you could visit.

    I still cry with the opening video. Aldo deserved better as a child. It looks like he lost his family (father, mother, and big sister). My son and I started playing in March 2004 (NA PS2 release) and still play 22 years later.

      That is incredible you two are still playing together! What has been your favorite expansion?

      @moiremusingslongplays Hard question. I'd say Treasures and then Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, but I enjoyed Seekers.

      @moiremusingslongplays Hello, I clicked on the link, but what I got was, "You have to sign in to save the file." Sign in to what? I wasn't trying to save the pdf; I just read it.

    Lol, first thing you do is blacklist gil sellers, love it

      HAHA If I had only known how futile the effort would be. Now I just chuckle at the gil sellers yelling in the middle of these dramatic cutscenes.
      Thanks for watching the video and commenting!

      @@moiremusingslongplays I think you can just disable yells on the chat options. Unless there are some yells you do want to hear

      Hey, @tidreauce9854 thank you so much for the comment and watching! If I remember correctly I changed the display resolution settings using the "Final Fantasy XI Config" before I started the recording. It has to be started before the PlayOnline Viewer. I had to look it up again since it has been so long haha. You can access it from Start menu on Windows > Programs/Apps > PlayOnline > Final Fantasy XI Config. I originally had it set to 1920x1080 but recently started using Windower which is a third party launcher that allowed me to upscale it to 3840x2160 to match my monitor.
      Sorry for the info dump but I hope that helps if you decide to give it another go (which you should I would love to have people to play with)!

    Lol love that you blacklist gil sellers. still play to this day and I would say my favorite expansions would be chains, and treasures. The other two are close seconds however rhapsody's is right up there with chains and treasures. Blu 4 life!!

      Thank you @MiBrCo4177! Blacklisting gil sellers right away was one of my friend's suggestions haha. I think Chains was my favorite to play through. I wish I had given Blue Mage a shot when I was playing through. What was your favorite part of playing Blue?

    • @MiBrCo4177
      @MiBrCo4177 2 месяца назад

      @@moiremusingslongplays well I would say it's learning the spells from all the different monsters, but also ... the spell system itself. While it's limited to only 20 spells set on the usable list at any given time. you can mix and match spell combinations to make Blue Mage anything you wanted it to be. Throw on a viable subjob and it's a powerful and versatile job. Blu/War would give melee players something to enjoy with all of the physical damage spells you can set (plus become a decent tank) Blu/Thf would give massive damage every minute with sneak attack/trick attack combo. Blu/Whm or Blu/Blm or later expansions Blu/Scholar would make it the ultimate support job. Blu/Nin with dual swords was also really great. Certain spell combinations would give you different passive traits. A few notable ones: Conserve MP: to reduce mp usage, Skillchain bonus: to help Blu deal extra damage when doing skillchains solo (Blue didn't need a duo partner in groups to Skillchain). Double Attack/Triple Attack: to help with melee sword swings to increase damage output by attack more when each auto attack went off during fights waiting for TP to build. So many opportunities for the job to be anything and yet extremely powerful at everything it did. It's only limitations were the spell system it had. 20 spells were the limit you can set but oh did it make the job even more fun!

      Hi @RobloxRUclipsrGamer905, thank you for watching and leaving a comment! I noticed the same thing that most people skip FF11 so I made it a point to give it a fair shot and play through as much of the story as I could.
