    Awesome day in the life vlog. I'm going to try out starting the day with a few minutes of journaling this week. I typically start with a walk, but it might be nice to switch it up with something that takes a little less time heading 1 week until finals.

    Ive been watching your videos for awhile and you seem like such a motivated student in medical school and you show all the right ways of doing things. Just a possible video for the future, what things have you seen in other medical students or even your past mistakes that helped guide you how to study in med school? What’s something that we don’t see in videos that students go through in med school that isn’t unicorns and rainbows? Just a thought! Not saying your videos make things look perfect but I just know you would be really good at explaining these things. Keep up the great work!

    With over 800 cards, HOW in the world are you able to remember information from past blocks? I would forget everything I’ve learned by the time I start on to a new subject

    • @EvolvingMedic
      @EvolvingMedic  3 года назад +5

      The majority of those cards are from past blocks. I still review cards from all the old classes. That’s why I always have so many 😅

    • @Mr.Whites_Futures
      @Mr.Whites_Futures 3 года назад +2

      Can you make a video on how you get through 800 cards daily like when I use Anki I have split screen up and I write out the question and I literally just answer the question as fast as I possibly can with it being 100% right. I can get like 20 cards completely done in maybe two hours

    • @EvolvingMedic
      @EvolvingMedic  3 года назад +3

      @@Mr.Whites_Futures I use the premade Anki deck which saves a ton of time and which is formatted in a way that allows me to work through them pretty quickly. I’ve also been seeing some of these cards for over a year so that helps them go quickly too.
      But here is a video where I talk about how I use Anki in more detail! I hope this helps! ruclips.net/video/xLIKnumRXD0/видео.html

    Hey bro, be careful with those thermos cups. I had a rude awakening as did a lot of people on the tube. The lids come completely apart which is a pain in the arse in my opinion, anyway if you don't completely take it apart and really scrub that thing mold builds up. Look it up people have gone years and months without knowing their drinking mold every day as unbeknownst to us the lids come fully apart. Sooo yeah, I'd ditch it all together especially if you add milk, cream to your coffee, that's where it mostly stems from. I'm a tea drinker, trying to give my heart a break lol so I don't put milk in tea. But if you use any creamer whatsoever either replace the lid every few months, break the lid down and scrub it or just do what i did and switch to iron flask. It' light weight even when full. It keeps ice in it for 24-48 hours in my month of use and keeps drinks hot all day though we know it doesnt last that long. And they are affordable and practical, and easy to hold in the hand without stretching your hands out and way cheaper than hydroflasks. So yeah check it out

    Question: What percentage of your studying is Anki, lecture review, content review, doing questions, etc.? I'm starting med school soon and every RUclips video I watch people says they use Anki but when do you incorporate reviewing lectures and doing questions if any?

    • @EvolvingMedic
      @EvolvingMedic  3 года назад +4

      Great question! I don’t review lectures. I just go to lecture (at least most times lol), do Anki, and sometimes do practice questions the week of the exam. At least 75% of my studying is Anki

    • @HDPeterson19
      @HDPeterson19 3 года назад +2

      I can 100% agree with this. Typically it’s preview with an outside resource (B&B, sketchy, pathoma, etc.), go to or watch lecture (usually watch at 2+X speed), ANKI, ANKI, ANKI, then practice questions to see what you know leading up to the test. Spend majority of your time with Anki (after you understand the material) and test time will be a breeze!
