Hey man, I’m one of your OG subscribers (I think you had around 500-700 at the time). Haven’t been watching your latest videos but am catching up. Your progress from getting accepted, to now is nothing short of inspiring. Future doctor aside I’m proud of the human being that you are. Always evolving 😎.
Your videos make me stay motivated in undergrad even tho I am not a pre-med student. If you have time later in the future would you upload what you eat and how you exercise during a tight schedule on your youtube channel plzz? THANKS!
I'm blown away at how dedicated you are to using Anki. I fall asleep after using Anki for 5 min haha. What's your secret because I'm trying to be more productive going into M2? Thanks in advance!
There are definitely days when Anki is the bane of my existence 😅, but for me, I just needed to start a streak of doing Anki every day. Now it would hurt more to break the streak than to do the Anki lol. Good luck in your second year! You’re going to do great!
Great Vid! Ive got a question do you make your own anki cards? Im a med student too first year, and i love anki ALOT but making flash cards is taking alot of time from me idk what to do.
Thanks so much!! I almost exclusively use the premade Anking deck which I’ve found to have everything and some for my classes. I’m also fortunate that my school has NBME exams so the finals are based on material from that deck. But I think it would also have everything you need if your exams are in house!
I don’t think it would be possible to have a job where your schedule isn’t really under your control. But I think it’s possible to create a personal business where your schedule is under your control. Most students rely on student loans though and do not work
It really depends on the student. Some students learn better from in person settings and I must admit that it’s easier to stay engaged and focused. But other students may find the time used to get ready and go to and from class better used on other things. So it really just depends on who you are as a student
You: *Spends 20 hours being productive and gets 1000 anki cards done by 7:30 am* Me: *a first year med student who got up at 12 pm and is procrastinating by watching your youtube videos* >>Hehe i'm in trouble 👁👄👁
Currently in d school, but I love watching these day in the life videos. As someone struggling with depression, anxiety, and adhd, I always spiral when things get hard. But watching these videos stops that spiral, calms my anxiety/depression, and motivates me to find more structure and organization in my life. Wish kharmaMedic, ali, and higley did more day in the life videos. Look forward to the next one!
I am so honored that you have found encouragement to keep going in my condos! I know just how hard it is, but you continuing despite the challenges is a testament to just how strong you are!
What's the general consensus from current med students about all these doctors and nurses leaving the profession due to inflation/salary cuts and increased work loads? Do students see it bouncing back or getting worse? I'm a pre-med atm looking to go into psychiatry but technically I could reroute into clinical Psych if the field seems to be getting too dodgy so I'm weighing options. I should add that I'm 100% on my own when it comes to who is paying for all this education.
A lot of that was related to COVID, and although COVID may be here forever, the world being in a state of a pandemic won’t be. So from my experience, many students aren’t too concerned with those things continuing. I’d recommend looking at the different aspects of psychiatry and clinical psych and see what you most resonate with. That will ultimately ensure you’re most fulfilled at the end of the day no matter what. But I feel you on paying for all the education yourself!
Hey everyone! How would you rate the productivity of today’s Vlog? All credit to Khari for getting me up early! 😅

How big is that computer monitor? Does the large size aid your study habits?
It’s a 32” monitor. I personally like being able to have multiple tabs open and having a bigger monitor helps with that
Do You Make your own anki cards or do You downland it?
Also great video✨
Thanks so much! And I use premade decks (the Anking deck)

Is it possible to do part time jobs as a medical school student to look after their family?(I mean managing time)
I don’t think it would be possible to have a job where your schedule isn’t really under your control. But I think it’s possible to create a personal business where your schedule is under your control. Most students rely on student loans though and do not work
Do you not have in person classes?
We do but we have the option to watch class virtually which is what I usually choose to do
@@EvolvingMedic are there anuy benefits to in person classes for your school?
