I headed north to explore new water that I initially saw while I was driving home from a hike. The river looked super trouty so I decided to dedicate a day to explore the stream. I drove over an hour to get to this spot and only had a hunch there were trout. In this video you'll see the reward in exploration. Not only do you get to enjoy the beauty of nature but sometimes you meet incredible people along the way as well! As I was wet wading up the river, battling 39 degree water temps, I ended up meeting Tom, who lives on the river and came out to see what kind of adventure I was getting on. My inital thought was "Wow, am I really about to get kicked out" but that was far from what happened. Tom and I started talking fishing after I landed 2 nice wild browns right in his backyard. He used to be pretty big into fly fishing but stopped 7 years ago. Seeing me out there inspired him to consider getting back out there on the sends. Pretty mind blowing that everything worked out that way since I was filming an Uncle Larrys video to inspire you guys to get out there on your sends and ended up sharing the love of fishing when I was out on the water! So cool to see that when you put your energy in a certain direction, things just work out and fall into place naturally. Tom additionally got me in contact with his buddy who works for field and stream and is huge in the fishing industry! Epic day on the water and unthinkable experiences!
