Great review Matt! You showcase the set really well, the colours are not bad but don’t like the stickers. Currently building the Lion’s Knight Castle and it’s also becoming one of my favourite sets of all time!
Nice review. I find it odd that the official LEGO description keep refering to this set as an update othe the old MMV. Because there really is no similarity other than the theme. Unlike say the Eldorado fortress, Blacktron Cruiser, Forest Hideout etc which are clearly based on previous sets.Feels like nostalgia bait. I like the set, but some of those colour and design choices don't sit right with me, if it was part of a wider castle theme I'd probably be more forgiving, but if this is the only castle set we get for another two years then I'll probably just pick up the new parts on PAB.
Despite its flaws its a must have since it goes with the castle... I am surprised the El dorado Fortress is out for such a short time and due for retirement this year.... did it flop? or did they think it sold enough copies already? Its one I have been on the fence for since I have the OG and this castle is just so good right now.... cant get everything.
I agree, this is a must have for anyone who loves Lego Castle even if it isn’t perfect. Choosing between this and Eldorado would be tough. I think the Town Square looks better on display (especially next to Lion Knights) but Eldorado feels…maybe more clever and considered? Maybe I’m just a sucker for hidden cave networks.
After watching your video, I do have a bit more appreciation for it, but I have the OG so I don't need to compete with that, the town square though.... never had much more than castles as a kid so the town aspect is really refreshing. Maybe if the fortress goes on a sale would be worth it. @@mattmakesthings
6:05 That is not the queen. That is first ever Lego king from Royal Knights castle faction.
Oh nice I just looked him up - I hope we see him again sometime! I need more Lego castle in my life.
I'm starting to think I'm the only one who loves the colour of the inn.
Inn lovers unite!
I don’t love it but I support your love
You are not alone
Quality channel! This will grow!! Keep it up Matt
Thanks for watching!

Yeah all those stickers are a real bummer, I think at least some of these should have been prints. Thank you for watching!
Absolutely love how you made this review video. Definitely top tier content! You got yourself a subscriber

Great vid 🎉🎉
Glad you liked it!!
She makes the arrows, not a vigilante.
You’re probably right, what a talented lady. That tapestry maker is really not pulling his weight in this village.
Nicely done video. New fan here!
Awesome - welcome and thanks for watching!
They make goat cheese ain’t need no cows
Then it needs more goats! That poor goat being worked to death. 😂
Great review. Btw - a cheese sandwich for me please. Can you send it express? I'm kind of hungry. Thanks!
Thank you! A half fontina, half Gruyère is on the way.
Better than Lions Knights Castle ? Cut the crap !
I hope you see after watching that it definitely isn’t - Lion Knights is a masterpiece in my opinion.
great video very well executed
Thank you!
As always. Great review Matt. This set i find a bit meh... the only thing i really like is the watchtower
As always, thank you for watching!
Quality review thank you!!!
Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!
Lego should have included a second goat and printed Felsa cheese wedges.🤠
I’d maybe forgive no cows if a second goat was spotted like the older version.
Great video.
Thanks for watching!
