*DO NOT* disconnect air-bag plug, disconnect the plug itself from the glove box leaving the air bag plug connected . Also disconnect negative terminal of battery since we are dealing with electrical components.

i disconnected the air bag plug not sure which one it was but now my air bag light is blinking do you know how to fix that by chance?

Exactly the same problem, fixing now. Thankfully the resister, which wasn't the problem, was only $14.
