  • In this video, we will talk about how to calculate the porous media coefficients for a simple homogeneous porous media from the experimentally obtained velocity vs pressure loss data. This data needs to be curve-fit with a quadratic equation to obtain the porous media parameters which can be done in a tool like Excel.

Good video but... the music is really distracting and makes it hard to concentrate :(

in 3d domain, how we define porous media with LTNE model, and can we use darcy number to find permeability and inertia coefficient and viscous resistance?

Hi, nice video.....And how about the "Power Law Model" parameters, I mean "c0" and "c1, could you give us a brief explanation? Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot. However, the pressure drop data is mostly available with respect to flow rate and not versus velocity in industry so curve fitting of DP versus flow rate to get the coefficients remain valid ? thanks

I am trying to model a capillary membrane, can I use this model? Do u have any tips to calculate the c1,c2 if the porous media is as fine as a membrane (pore size is 7 µm)

hi, i have an enclosure with 1.5 mm thick perforated plate on both sides. does it exist that C2=298.17, 1/ALFA=174 664 133?
Should I enter these in the porous jump window? thanks for the reply!

Hi, ı examine the list that velocity versus Pressure Drop in the Ansys guide, but I wonder graph when the velocity is below 20 m/s. I have a boundary condition and I have to use inlet velocity 4 m/s. Can I use that xy function?

Hello, how do you set up the boundary conditions for the experimantal data? I have a lattice structure that i want to fins the pressure drop and velocity so I can obtain the diffusion coefficient.

    hi
I'm trying to model a grid/grille as a porous media
(i need to define the porosity instead of the grids)
can you till me how ??
