Ive been watching you for years. I have learned ALOT from your builds. You are super lucky man building all these projects and getting paid to do it. I would love to do what you do like the best job in the world.
When I was 10, My uncle used to drive a black 76 Chevy short van, with loud exhaust on a stock 350( I still thought it was a racecar motor!). It had 12 inch wide turbine wheels, yellow shag carpet, and 12 inch pioneer house speakers in the back. I always thought it was the coolest thing around.
Stacey, you're still the best automotive host to grace the camera. Greatest car show host to ever live. Derek from Vice Grip Garage is a close second, but you will go down in automotive history as number 1!
Hi Stacy my dad had a gmc van that a 350 chevy that had 450,000 on it and only did regular maintenance on it cause he and I did all the service on it !
Hey hey... I Enjoy your program. I do All My Own Automotive Stuff too... I'm a Self Taught Mechanic Bodyman Painter and Fabricator. I'm currently going through a 1967 Ford F-250 Flatbed Truck. Thanks Again and Keep Up the Great Work
I want a Stacy David cardboard cutout to put in my garage so people know I'm having a kick back time working on my stuff. My buddies at LMC truck may not be sending me parts, but when you got Stacy David hanging in the garage who cares! Just think you got your buddies checking out your project car.... hey guys look who's been helping me get this done.
Man its definitely going to be cool but with that van being an original manual transmission I'd have had to go with a 5 or 6 speed. Too much fun not too
@@danfrick397 Put a bed in the back and the motor doesn't matter because you won't be driving to have fun. And my issue was not with putting power under the hood, it was with picking an easy, lazy motor. 440s in vans are cool. Just don't stick another crate engine in it.
I'm curious. You upgrading from what I believe is a 3-speed column shift auto to a 6-speed column shift. Where are you going to find a column with the correct shift indents?
The "p,r,n,d,3,2" pattern is the same on all column shifts. You can put a toyot tundra column in that van and it will shift fine. It's all electronic control anymore anyway
@@defiantance Id guess he's not going to ever be jamming gears. It'll go into D and it'll live there, or as he said, paddle/button shifter on the new steering wheel.
@@johnwymer1215 fair point. but he’s a professional I am not. My point is less about him directly and more about the producers of the show not letting him show more every episode
That's all alright if you have very deep pockets and money to waste. More videos for the normal car guy. Not all of us has 50000.00 dollars for hotrod fun. Or sponsored to supply free parts. Love your show but try to bring it back down to earth.
It's true we haven't featured a Mopar in a while, but we've had several of them over the years. Sgt. Rock, the Drag'n Wagon, The Street Sweeper, and a few others. We have a couple ideas on the radar for the Mopar crowd.
What ever happened to 1981 Z-28 conversion to a split bumper Camaro???? Did miss the Fall Guy Chevy 3/4 Ton truck being finished? It's like this page has A-D-D....... no offense to anyone who has the disorder He starts these projects then they disappear like a Fart in the Wind💨
Shoot me right now because I'm about to get real smart. Being the world we now find ourselves living in and the BS politics that rule our lives, I thought it be funny as hell to do this Chevy van build with a 750Hp equivalent electric motor. There is plenty of space between the frame rails underneath the body to mount a decent sized battery pack and electric motor that would scoot, scoot, scoot down the highway while blaring "I Can't Drive - 55". Sorry, I'm just thinking outside the big yellow box.
I used to love making breakfast grabbing a cup of coffee and spend a couple hrs watching power block good times...

This show is still a GIANT COMMERCIAL 🤣
Very sad but true. He used to build a lot of really cool stuff. Now its 5 mins of working on a project and 20 mins of BS......

They say Chip Foose keeps calling Derek, but he just doesn't have the time 😆😆😆😆
Been watching for yrs, but I agree with others. This is not TV. More segments of the Van or primary build. There are too many other segments.
I've watched you for a long time and enjoyed it, plus using some stuff you show. Me and mine driveway projects thank you!

Man, I want to drop one of those in my 2000 TA convertible. I hated it when I heard GM discontinued them.
That van, is going to b a cool cruiser.😊
Stacey always love the videos
I have yet to see heavy metal completed yet I really like that build

Yay, another LS..... I thought for sure this would have been a junkyard rebuild, or LT1 or something besides an LS.
Love how he never say the cost
What was the price tag for the engine n bolt ons
Is it possible to drop the infamous transaxle in a 1970-1972 Datsun 240Z?

Stacy!!!! Your getting gray hair!!! 🫢
Want to see Stacey with military Haircut 💈💈💈
Would you ever consider to build a Oldsmobile 350 motor??? I have a 1971 Cutlass,,,, Thoughts??
Those are cool engines! We may cover one sometime. It would be a good comparison to the Buick 455 we did a few seasons ago.
@@OfficialStaceyDavid thank you. No one does the 350 Oldsmobile motor as far as any performance. Stay well
That p38 motor has been collecting dust for nearly a decade, Time to put that sucker in something!

Vans are not about the action under the hood but the action in back. That said an LS is still a LAZY (boring) SWAP
I'm sure you have something better
