Alcantara is the 46th ranked prospect on the Top 100. Wicks is also on there, a Proven LH SP. Brennen Davis at 💯 and Owen Cassie make Alcantara tradable. He's on the 40man roster in high A. So you clear a spot as well. You're gonna give up guys 20-30 as the 2nd prospect in these deals. But you now have Dynasty potential

Clearly anyone who said we should sell last year was one hundred percent correct... Is kap actually trying to deny that??? I still don't understand why he's pushing to spend prospects on a bowlpen when this lineup has 0 chance of winning a championship.
MLB bullpens are sooooo volatile so I don't really blame them for that. They've had the same approach going back to when Epstein was here with varying degrees of success and signing a reliever to a huge contract usually gets a GM fired. On the position player side, it seems like all the injuries that have happened has gotten in their heads. I also agree with bringing PCA back up (he's been on fire since he got sent to Iowa) and demoting Madrigal. The offense needs a jolt and PCA would definitely provide that; you could see it when he was called up the first time. Lastly, I've been saying it since spring training started: we need to pay attention to their actions, not what they say and based on how they conducted themselves in the off-season it's obvious they didn't see themselves as division winners this season. If they did they would've signed Chapman, traded for a big power bat and signed/traded for an established closer and starting pitcher. It looks like they want one more year for the young guns to develop and gain experience at the major league level and, if everything goes according to plan, be one of the most active teams in free agency and the trade market this coming off-season.
