Hi. Looks good. Does the HS175D display the altitude at the time of the flight while recording a video (on the video footage screen, on your phone as its happening), so you can tell how high a certain view is? Thanks
Beginner here (just got a Holy Stone HS175D). Curious, do you mainly fly the drone by looking at it directly (line of sight), or fly it by looking at the app on your phone, as if you're actually a pilot on the drone? I was wondering how pilots control the drone when it's far away / temporarily out of sight. I assume they just look at the app on their phones. Thanks
I primarily fly Line of site, looking at the drone, then I watch the screen when Im attempting to capture photo and video for framing purposes. Its kindof a combination of both, however you should never rely on the video back from the drone for safety reasons. I often move if Im flying around an obstacle to insure I can see the drone. Mode 1 and Mode 2 refer to the configuration of the control sticks. In Mode 1, the throttle and elevator controls are on the right stick, while aileron and rudder controls are on the left. In Mode 2, the throttle and aileron controls are on the left stick, and elevator and rudder controls are on the right. In the US the standard is mode 2.
Can I use this indoors? What's the minimum focal length of the camera? I plan on using it indoors to make you tube videos. Is it possible to create flight paths?
So you can fly this one in doors but they do not provide a ton by way of camera specifications. These cameras are set up to be able to auto focus well close up or far away. I have used this one to take photos as close as 10 ft from the subject. As far as way points if I remember correctly it does have the ability to do way points but that would be outdoors only . Im curious as to the type of RUclips Videos you are attempting to create indoors with a drone. There may be better options for this purpose. Thanks for watching.
@@AlToneTech I do CNC woodworking and it's just me. The camera shots are there fore static. I've looked at motion tracking tripods and they're really expensive. If I can do it, a drone would be an excellent approach and give me other opportunities, like real estate filming.
Yes try going to a different location. Also try putting your mobile device in airplane mode and close all other apps that are running on your device while flying. Hope that helps.

The charger plugs directly into the battery using the same connections that the drone uses. You should see the connection on the battery where the label is.
absolutely garbage The camera is terrible it loses GPS reception all the time I'm going to throw it in the garbage it's absolutely useless and I'm buying a many pro 3

The Holy Stone wifi connection is not showing up on my S23 Ultra nor my S10 for me to connect.
