    I just got this drone and so far id say it has been the best ive had, not that i have had many, for a drone in this price listing i think its control and camera quality are amazing, range is certainly respectable and the home feature despite being a bit unpredictable is overall good, the drone is a good build and when i hit a tree at fast speeds it didnt break so that is an upside for me, thank you for the review

    • @MrWildWales

    Beginner here (just got a Holy Stone HS175D). Curious, do you mainly fly the drone by looking at it directly (line of sight), or fly it by looking at the app on your phone, as if you're actually a pilot on the drone? I was wondering how pilots control the drone when it's far away / temporarily out of sight. I assume they just look at the app on their phones. Thanks

Cheers, nice video

    • @MrWildWales

I was wondering whether to get this to take with me wild camping etc. Never having had a drone before I am wary about spending £500 on a mavic dji only to crash it and break it. I've had this drone a little over a week now, every time I would go for distance, and or height the HS175D wouldn't respond to the commands I will try not using beginner mode and putting the cell phone to airplane mode. I wanted to be able to get closer to things, see further and use for my home made music videos, but the drone gets caught in trees and the blades gets damaged, for now I will blame it on user error, as long as I stay around 11-12ft and fly no more than 20 yards I can maintain a bit of control, but as soon as I push the envelope it wont take long before I find myself hoping that I can get it from the tree tops again, my luck will run out if I don't figure out what I can do so that my HS175D fly like the ones that I see on RUclips, suggestions are welcome, please and thank you!!!!

    • @MrWildWales
      @MrWildWales  11 месяцев назад

      Hmm I'm a bit confused by that one you should be able to easily control it for at least 100 metres. It's not the easiest to control in tight spaces though. There's a setting to make sure it raises up to a certain height when return to home kicks in which may help avoiding trees

    If you experience Drift, just click down on the right Analog stick and the drone will Stabilize itself. Even if its windy click down on the right Analog stick and the drone will Balance itself in windy conditions.

    • @Portion2131
      @Portion2131 Месяц назад

      I Have this same drone & id say its good for beginners but if you think you have good awareness and good with controlers spend the extra money for a drone in the $500 Range.
      This drones app is not the best but works.
      This drone only last 15mins or less on a battery.
      This drone doesn't have the best Camera for a 4k camera which my drone like this is the 4k version.
      This drone could be better for the fact its made in china and china is currently the Market with the best drones currently in 2024. America has alot of drone laws which restricts Drone development in America. Like i said China could provide better drone functionality but its all about making money so 🤷.
      If you are great at awareness and good with controllers id definitely Buy a $500 drone over this drone.
      Accessories for this drone on the video is fairly cheap & accessories for a $500 drone would be slightly more costly.
      Like i said i definitely would prefer a drone thats in the range of $500-$800 after my experience with this drone in the video. Its not the best drone and i definitely see other people with drones doing things alot more simple than what it takes me to operate this drone in the video.
      If you plan on capturing footage to enjoy or share online definitely support a more expensive American made drone . Lets go America! Who knows what data china collects on these china drones that are sold everywhere

    • @MrWildWales
      @MrWildWales  Месяц назад

      Hi pal can you show me what drones are made in the USA I don't think I've seen any. As far as I'm aware the world leaders are DJI which are made in China. This is a good beginner fun drone I'd say if you aren't looking for superior video quality its just a bit of fun.
