I'm ashamed to admit it. I'm a Marine Tanker and I've watched this video like 8 times.... Damn those cobra guys... what a cool job... This is why I continue to hate them...
Awesome! And, wherever his head moves, the camera moves; whatever direction that the camera and his head moves, so does the 20mm cannon! Great stuff!!!!!
Cant wait to join up with the USMC, plan is to go train as a tanker and serve alongside these awesome people, gonna be a hell of an adventure. Semper Fi.
You can be. You just have to want it more than anything else. If you're a little older then there's not a good chance you can fly for the military, but if you're about 30 or younger you have a chance for helis. Fighter jets are usually made their freshman year of high school. They go to air force or Naval academy, graduate with good grades, join a branch, then to flight school, after flight school you'll have to have been one of the top performers to get your pick of aircraft first. So college is a must...in the Army you can do warrant officer training to be a pilot. It's usually an experience based promotion as opposed to college and knife and fork school. Start as a heli mechanic, work to crew chief, then apply for Warrant officer and then take your flight aptitude test....all of that seems like a lot but the military is very structured and provides the paths, you just have to follow them and over come the obstacles. I'd recommend college before joining, because when your degree is earned on your time and money you have more flexibility to pick your MOS. If the military pays for your school, they can put you where they want you....the civilian world is a little harder. You have to have a good amount of disposable income. Your private license is about $10,000 - $15,000 and if you want to fly for hire you'll need your CFI and instrument ratings so you're looking at closer to $50,000 - $100,000 (Muana Loa chopper school is about $80k for you all inclusive rating) Some colleges have aviation programs and since its collegiate, student loans can be used for it. Fixed wing aircraft license and ratings are considerably cheaper to obtain, and a certain amount of fixed wing hours translate toward your chopper training. After you gained your necessary licenses and ratings you're ready for a job. A lot of civilians start as an instructor after they're a rated pilot (sometimes working for the school you obtained your license from) The pay is really low, but it's a good way to build hours. You could also consider flying tours. Once you've built up about 2,000+ hours and have obtained your jet engine rating (for bigger choppers like the Bell 206 jetranger, which is the most common helicopter in the world. you've seen one before trust me) you can start applying for jobs like working for an oil rig transporting workers, flying for CEOs, celebs, or other VIPs, fly charters for private party's, news chopper pilot, police helicopter pilot (those guys must be cops first), and the holy grail the EMS pilot. I met an EMS pilot a few years back. He had about 5,000 hours and was prior military. It's hard to tell if the job market is opening because a lot of old pilots are retiring or more closed for many reasons, but regardless of the market being a helicopter pilot is an extremely competitive field and success is not guaranteed. There are more people who want to fly than there are aircraft so you have to be able to market yourself. Good luck man :) I too want to be a pilot.
you are aware of the fact that a real Ah-1W right? even military training simulators are not that "Graphic" and physical. I really do hope that was sarcasm.......
Obeyance Dekat Seriously? Ive never heard of the air force using any helicopter other then cargo choppers, and im not sure they even use those ! Now Im off on a wild internet hunt for air force choppers....8(
Anyone could be hiding under overhangs like 1:48 and caves in these ranges. Tough job seeking them out and I imagine it's unnerving to think they could be waiting in ambush.
martin walter People are mistaking "Cockpit" for "Pilot Seat" i guess. Just ignorant people is all, probably the same people that call Magazines, Clips.
I would love to do that job.... not kidding. I did not have 20/20 eyesight to fly military but I did complete civilian pilot training for airplanes and helicopters.
If a Snake dived down at you from the heavens and opened up with its 20mm gun, your done for! - You'd never hit it back. Its too sleek, slender and thin
@Said Anuar Oh, absolutely man,,, I am TOTALLY aware of the situation these guys are in - the big reason why they are trained so well, would I have placed my life on the line knowingly in these situations? - Yes I would, would I follow orders after careful planning and knowledge of an operation? - Yes I would, to be part of technology like this, to be part of the protective effort of your nation - your country would be a once in a lifetime thing, - life is to be lived doing what you believe in - your passion - I would have no issue in placing my life on the line - yet I want to live a long life - strange sentiment I know, but careful planning, the best training you can get with the right team would give you (me) the best chance available.Trust.
+Brandon Mcfall I didn't say flares were the ONLY thing.Flares are the only thing I know of so thats why I said it.And I don't even have a PC(or any console),so...haven't played bf in a long time.
Lol yeah im a cock thats cool. My point was, they have all kinds of infrared systems and threat detection devices. As far as counter measures go of course they are equipped with flares but an ecm jammer has nothing to with it. Not even close to an aircraft necessity. I wasnt trying to be a dick but an ecm jammer? Straight out of bf. Sorry I hurt your feelings.
+bisyhefr then how the hell do you train the pilot and crew? no training at all? you assume they could do all the freaking manuver without learning? ground crew will learn how to fix helicopters.withour pilots breaking them? do you even know about military
Flying threw those Clouds was Absolutely Amazing. I'll Always Love that AH-1W Super Cobra.
This kind of terrain is like a playground for helicopters. Looks fun as hell!
I used to fly AH-1S many years ago.
I miss it terribly!
Thanks for posting.
Thanks for giving us a front seat!
I fuckin love helicopters
Ima give this bitch a helicopter... Bitches love helicopters.
same here
Yes
sir your right
Its the shit
I bet its like having 2 working dicks.
It's the best fun you can have with your pants on!!!!
I'm intrigued, are those binocular type things what the gunner looks into to see where weapons are directed?
Yeah, I think it’s a targeting screen.
That’s to see the wind direction and check the ground coordinates.
I'm ashamed to admit it. I'm a Marine Tanker and I've watched this video like 8 times.... Damn those cobra guys... what a cool job... This is why I continue to hate them...
man i wish i could even be a tanker...being a marine would be awesome ...but...cant...got celiacs
+Kaelinus Maximus I can't go I have a college degree 😡
+Chuck Scnick I can't go either because I have simulators :(
I can't go I have a criminal record
@@mason5551 Have you tried applying for a waiver? A criminal record doesn't mean you can't join, talk to your recruiter to figure something out
Nothing like a fight of cobras in combat.
I don't get opportunity to thank you, but you know that I love you in my heart what you're doing with this channel
Awesome! And, wherever his head moves, the camera moves; whatever direction that the camera and his head moves, so does the 20mm cannon! Great stuff!!!!!
looks so peaceful
But not from the outside!!! That is one very unfriendly hostile airframe!!!
Cool. Can't wait to see those Helicopters here in Brazil.
I rode in a cobra about a year ago, they have that distinct chuga chuga sound. Unlike the Huey which has a whoppa whoppa sound
the front pilot controls the guns while the pilot in back controls the chopper. nice
Great clarity!
Is this for 360 or PC?
I don't think the 360 could handle the graphics. PC definitely could. Maybe the Xbone or PS4 could?
its neither, this is Real Deal here. these are Marine Airmen flying IRL.
whoosh
@@CapStar362 pretty sure it was a joke
Awesome video!
The beauty of science

Helluva a nice ride!!

How's that workin out for ya?
Hornet 2-2 yea how's it working? My goal is to fly one of these for USMC
Going good, working my way through college now, just gotta make my way stateside after i get the green card and start training
Hornet 2-2 Thats a good plan! 👌
Awesome!
It’s like ur outside flying on a giant hornet
incredible
This is so cool
awesome !
Like an old Stearman biplane. Pilot in back and, in the case of the Cobra, gunner in front.
Can someone explain what is happening in this clip. Are they in training or why is he slalom flying ^^
Oh man........ I need this Copter in DCS as a Module !!!!!!
Amazing.
This is my dream job
You did it?

Very very nice thank you best pilot 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I am very happy Thanksgiving really .
Was this a training exercise? Great video btw.
Is this filmed from Gunner position? Thx
Tyler Richards are pilots gunners and vice versa or are they seperate all together
Sounds like a spike knocking!!! Check your transmission mounts! Or may be its a blade dampener!
Whats up you fat fuck
Love the vid
The guy in the front lol " sup " XD
Does it really shake that much?
It is that vibration that tells you that you need to pee 5 minutes after start in a 2:30 hour sortie.
Does the pilot get any weapons?
like a giant mixer
Those are some good graphics, what game is this and what GPU are you running?
Pft, screw those questions... I wanna know what physics engine that is and if that runs on the DirectX 20 pre Alpha!
you are aware of the fact that a real Ah-1W right? even military training simulators are not that "Graphic" and physical. I really do hope that was sarcasm.......
Awesome
how likely are these chopper shot down or able to be taken down are jetfighter safer???
What watch are you wearing? Is that a USMC issue watch?
Probably, USMC uses Cobras as their main Gunship. Army uses Apache, Air Force uses both im pretty sure.
Obeyance Dekat Seriously? Ive never heard of the air force using any helicopter other then cargo choppers, and im not sure they even use those ! Now Im off on a wild internet hunt for air force choppers....8(
astrialkil I looked, they dont use attack helis. I guess just the Marine/Army branches of the Air Force use them.
ya air force is pretty much planes only , army and marines cant use planes as they are not air force (which is stupid) so they use choppers
astrialkil The Marines have planes.
Yeaa...! I love it and i want to fly it..!
Those fuckin clouds my god.
Anyone could be hiding under overhangs like 1:48 and caves in these ranges. Tough job seeking them out and I imagine it's unnerving to think they could be waiting in ambush.
beautifull
what's in that bag to your right? is that your lunch?
I'm pretty sure he's sitting in the gunner seat, the pilot should be behind him
The gunner does sit in the front, but i think the helicopter can be fully operated from the gunner seat aswell
@@Windy_97 both seats can fly, only front one can gun (:
SSUPER COBRA :》》》》
Super :100%
awesome video but that the gunner pov ;)

Moooooaaaaaarrrr

nope, this is the AH-1W, not the AH-1Z in BF2, 3 and 4
Will eventually be replaced by UAS.
amazing machines. too bad theyre used to kill people
Yes but it has to be done. The apaches kill terrorist.
Simba Jr but alot of time there is collateral damage and innocent people get killed.
Chris Hall That's what happens in war. Especially since the terrorist don't have such advanced technology as us, they rely on hiding among civilians.
