I’m American, but have a Czech last name and heritage. It made me very emotional watching this. Very proud of how they avenged their country on the ice and in the streets.
@@RUclips.Algorithmic.Nonsense it is also becose of what i said , hollywood is american , nonamerican stuff is rarely made there , you still have plenty history movies but About first black people in sport or any US war or incident , it happened in 98 ,,, plenty of time whe movies were still focused on history
@@doposud Well, Hollywood is owned significantly by China now. Check out the studio names during the ending credits some time and you'll see what I mean. The vast majority of movies suck today. No matter who or where a movie is made it's likely going to be not historically accurate. My point was that Hollywood will put out a Vietnam or WWII movie and will dramatize it for entertainment sake. Meanwhile, our public school system won't even teach about those wars. I disagree about Americans having to be in it. That's BS. I can think of a lot of American made sports movies that had nothing to do with American athletes. Invictus is just one example. My God, they also made a whole movie about the Jamaican bobsled team and they didn't win anything.
I was there! WC in ice hockey 1969, eight years old. Johanneshov, Stockholm. My father was a peaceful man, until that day. He was so angry with the Soviet Union that he screamed and howled the entire match.
the czechs and the soviets were the biggest rivalry in international hockey for many years. it was hotter than any nhl rivalry. right now the biggest rivalry is the us vs canada. they always met at least once in the world juniors. the us slightly having the upper hand. finland and sweden have always had a big rivalry. every year i always look forward to the world juniors. it is such a great tournament.
Russia aka Soviet Union occupied their country and the Russian players are like ohh Czechoslovaks are soo rude they calling us names 😂😂🤦♀️ This should be made into movie please … extremely relevant at present times.

Why has this not been made into a movie?
becose noone from America was involved
@@doposud It’s not that. It’s because history is no longer taught in school - but gender fluidity is.
