i absolutely love backrooms content and i think the pools are my favorite of the "levels" in the backrooms. this is so nice. deeply unnerving but comforting. sterile and disconnected but familiar.
pools is an interesting game, because it plays on four phobias despite the fact that the game description specifically tells you that there is nothing to be afraid of 1.phobopobia being the fear of fear, 2. eremophobia the fear of being alone, 3. potentially aquaphobia the fear of water, 4. and maybe even scopophobia the fear of being watched/ looked at (I feel like I looked into this too far, but I mean it is tagged as a psychological horror game lol). also I really liked that intro it felt cinematic, idk if that's the right word, but it felt different and nice.
Love love love this game. If you keep going down the 'dead end' with the handrail around 14:12, you can find one of the rare genuine horror moments in Pools, scared the absolute crap out of me the first time I played it. Might not be jumpscares, but there's plenty of slower scares.
@@kelsbridge It's not a really scary moment unless you're already nervous, but it's a pair of pale hands pointing towards you from a hole in the bottom of the pool. I think it was meant as a 'you went the wrong way, turn around' joke but it's still creepy.
Ive been watching this while I animate and GOD this is such a good find its nice to listen and easy to follow your commentary I definitely need to keep up with your videos
Hey dude! Just wanna say you're doing a great job and your video is really well done! I love content like this, and paired with your calm voice it made the whole experience strangely relaxing.
Absolutely captivated by this video, this game. I put this on to clean to and kept getting distracted by how immersive this experience was. Lovely video
@@kelsbridge the stairs had water flowing down, looking like a waterfall. The water was about 4ft deep, and the second floor had glass railing with water about 6 inches. When i had gone to the first floor i looked up to see some dude withs some mascot head on to seal his identity. He was friendly though. He waved, we splashed each other. As soon as i started looking for a bathroom the dream ended XD

Damn, well made intro man.
One suggestion, when speaking try being a bit more audible and/or less mumbly.
But WOW, well made, keep it up.
thank you! its probably going to take me a while to be comfortable when speaking though haha but I will keep that in mind :)
Criminally underrated content
