Olena, suggestion. Only add fruit(s) after you put the batter into the cups. Drop the fruit on from the top and you will have better control how they turn out. Our dad was a baker and he used to slightly flour his raisins for loaf cakes and etc. so they would not sink to the bottom.
Thank you for the recipes! I have already seen a video about how to make egg bites but I'm very interested in your oatmeal bite recipe! I think that will be a great way to get my oatmeal!
Just found your page. love the stuff your are doing. the egg bites molds are amazing. i have made the egg mixture for years in actual muffin tins but i love using the IP so much more. easier all around and clean up as well. someone asked about how long they can last in the refrigerator, i make enough for a week and they hold up well. please keep showing us more! always searching for new recipe ideas.
Olena, please please please create a healthy cheesecake bites and some ukrainian style "syrnyky" bites with cottage cheese. Thank you for your work and healthy ideas! I just love your site and recipes!
Very helpful advice re making sure egg bite mold lids are silicone and not plastic this is something not everyone would have thought about so thank you. And great recipe ideas
I just found you about a week ago and I went and bought myself an 8 quart pressure cooker just like yours. I already have the 6 quart and love both of them but 8 quart is easier getting things in and out!! I just made the egg bites and came out perfect ! Thank you so much 🥰
I finally got the silicone molds and made the egg bites this morning for the husband and kids. They loooved them! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pankcake and oat bites are next 🙌
👏🏻👍🏻😍 I really like your channel! Thanks!:) P.S.: I do as you show - low pressure, normal. But just curious if you really wanted high pressure, cuz you put low in all 3 recepies😊;)
Not sure if you noticed, you said 8 minutes in high pressure but your IP was set to low pressure when you set the time, just thought to share. Thank you for the recipe
note: rotate the top container so the cups are not directly over the bottom cup it helps with any inconsistency cooking allowing steam to get all-around all cups
I am new to your channel and I too have finally bought a mould , just need now to buy a lifter that fits my Crockpot Instant Cooker which has a nonstick bowl so have to be careful what I put in. Thank you for the video it has inspired me to make more than just egg bites.
Hello thank you for this recipe, I made 2 trays at 8 min. The bottom tray was perfect and tasted amazingly good. The top tray still had about a tsp of uncooked egg in the bottom of each cup. So I returned that tray to the IP and cooked it for another 2 minutes and all is good. I've noticed with my IP that when I have stacked items the top is under cooked while the bottom is perfect. Any hints that would improve my results?
Also, i use par cooked broccoli diced small, spinach with a little feta, bell peppers i steam in IP for 1 min, slice and dice them for egg bites and add these veggies to other dishes as well. i squeeze extra moisture from steaming anything before adding to bite molds.
All the other recipes are using foil but I love the fact that you can use the lid. Makes it so much easier. Are you able to continue using the kids or did they get damaged after a few uses?
Love the look of these oatmeal bites, Olena. Your videos are so good. If I have regular steel cut oats, not quick-cook, what do you suggest for cooking time?
Two questions for you. Have you had any melting issues using the plastic lids while cooking in the IP? My other question is do these egg bite molds absorb odors of the cooking like the sealing rings do? Thanks!
Can I put some chopped ham or other meat in the egg bites? Can Quaker Old Fashioned oatmeal be used for the oatmeal bites? Also, could I add a little ground chia and/or flax seed to the oatmeal bites?
Hi Olena - I have enjoyed lots of your recipes! I've made the egg bites a few times now, very good! I tried the pancake bites today... they taste pretty good, but turned out very dense. Are they supposed to be that way, or did I do something incorrectly? The only thing I didn't do, just like the recipe, is I left the lids on the molds while they were cooling. I don't know if that matters. :)
My egg bites turned into mushroom shapes, and the pancake bites ended up squashed. Why might this happen? Do i need to let it natural release for a few minutes?
I think mushroom shapes are when cups are overfilled so they overspill. And squashed pancake bites, was another tray directly on top of it? If so stagger them. Hope this helps.
I made the oatmeal bites yesterday with quick steel cut oat, exactly as your recipe, except I forgot to spray the moulds... It was still very easy to take the bites off, I just pushed them up in pressing the bottom of the mould up, was quick and perfect shape. They taste really good but they are sticky. Is it normal ?
Thank you sooo much! In June I began researching recipes on here to see if I could do this kind of cooking. We used to eat out at least once a day but pandemic caused me to brush up on my cooking skills. When the world reopened, I still wanted to do great meals but did not know how I would be able to go to the Y for workouts and get home with enough time and energy to cook them. This method is not only simpler, but faster and tastier too. Coupled with drive up groceries, and a husband who loves great cooking You my dear are making my life easier and more fun too! A big hug to you and Hubby from us. Sandy and Chris, Ages 74 and 79
These are all good suggestions but I'm a little confused - you keep saying Hi pressure but your video is showing Low pressure. Are you actually cooking on Hi or Low?
Olena, suggestion. Only add fruit(s) after you put the batter into the cups. Drop the fruit on from the top and you will have better control how they turn out. Our dad was a baker and he used to slightly flour his raisins for loaf cakes and etc. so they would not sink to the bottom.
Thank you John, I will try this way:) Yes have heard about flour before and do it myself just forgot haha.
Thank you for the recipes! I have already seen a video about how to make egg bites but I'm very interested in your oatmeal bite recipe! I think that will be a great way to get my oatmeal!
Thank you for watching! Yes - both are great easy and healthy breakfast recipes 😊

Happy you are enjoying! Will add to my list!
Thank you! I can't wait to make the pancake bites. I didn't know you can pressure cook with the lids on. 😊

Yay!!! Great time to play around with fun tools in the kitchen. So happy to hear everyone enjoyed the bites!
Thank you for the recipes, just made the egg bites, I added pieces of polish sausage and cheese, chopped scallions and green peppers... yummy 😋
Wonderful!
Thank you!
You are welcome Valerie
I love that you said on high pressure but had it on low
Me too. Means I’m human, alive and well. Thanks for your valuable input.
@@ifoodreal oh dear I hope that didn't come off as rude 🙊♥️
I just made the oatmeal bites for breakfast this morning. They were perfection. The texture was wonderful. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
You are so welcome!
Love these as didnt know what recipes you use the lids for thank you so much
You’re welcome 😊
👏🏻👍🏻😍
I really like your channel! Thanks!:)

I use low pressure.
@@ifoodrealOh, ok, because you say “high” all the time 😉
Not sure if you noticed, you said 8 minutes in high pressure but your IP was set to low pressure when you set the time, just thought to share. Thank you for the recipe
You are correct. High pressure is correct one.
note: rotate the top container so the cups are not directly over the bottom cup it helps with any inconsistency cooking allowing steam to get all-around all cups
Thank you

Welcome!!
I have a silicone trivit with handles. I think I got it at a local grocer, but Amazon should have one.
I love how she says stir! I say this now and my husband loves it lol:).
LOL I always assumed I say it properly haha
Wow you made eating eggs looks so sensual, lol

Kids are alive. Lids are reusable and come with silicone moulds
That whisk is very nice! Who makes it? I've been looking for exactly that type! Looking forward to my 1st eggbite experience 😀
Link below in video description.
Love the look of these oatmeal bites, Olena. Your videos are so good. If I have regular steel cut oats, not quick-cook, what do you suggest for cooking time?
Hi Marsha, thank you:) probably 20 minute would do it for you
Two questions for you. Have you had any melting issues using the plastic lids while cooking in the IP? My other question is do these egg bite molds absorb odors of the cooking like the sealing rings do? Thanks!
I have never tried cooking with plastic inside IP and don't recommend. Yes, they absorb.

Welcome and hope you enjoy our healthy instant pot recipes!
This was amazing! I need those egg molds! I wonder how long this will last in the fridge (for weekly meal-prepping).
I would say 5 days. You can also freeze them.
Can I put some chopped ham or other meat in the egg bites? Can Quaker Old Fashioned oatmeal be used for the oatmeal bites? Also, could I add a little ground chia and/or flax seed to the oatmeal bites?
Yes of course, go ahead you can meat to the egg bites!:) and Quaker should work as well! I myself add chia and flax sometimes! So Yes to all :)
I love your name!
Thank you!

I don't think it matters. Because they are whole wheat they do come out more dense in the pressure cooker - true.
Can you add strawberries to them?
8
If i want to make half the recipe do i still keep it at same times to cook?
Yes you keep at the same time 👌
My egg bites turned into mushroom shapes, and the pancake bites ended up squashed. Why might this happen? Do i need to let it natural release for a few minutes?
I think mushroom shapes are when cups are overfilled so they overspill. And squashed pancake bites, was another tray directly on top of it? If so stagger them. Hope this helps.
Can they steam instead of pressure?
I haven't tried. Why?
Hi Olena, would it work if I add one pecan on top of each oatmeal bite before cooking? Not sure if nuts are ok in IP. Thanks
Is it normal ?
sticky to what? to your fingers? if so, when they cool they will be fine.
@@ifoodreal yes to my fingers and you’re right, they were just fine after cooled off 😁
I bought a bundle of accessories. Lid is flexible. Does that make it silicone? How can I tell?
If you can roll it, it's silcione.

Lena where did you buy such forms?
On Amazon these ones amzn.to/2NOFLWE
These are all good suggestions but I'm a little confused - you keep saying Hi pressure but your video is showing Low pressure. Are you actually cooking on Hi or Low?
Cook on high pressure. Must have used low pressure before that and forgot to switch which apparently is not big difference for egg bites.
hi
Gorgeous
Mwah. You get fan #1 badge.:)
A lot of the lids for these molds are plastic, not silicone....so they shouldn’t go into cooking. I know, it’s ridiculous
