Hi Mark. Of all the repair or maintenance instructions online, I find yours the most thorough, easy to understand and straight to the point

Excellent videos. I ran my one year old Stihl edger this summer with just gas, no oil mixture (not smart). It finally quit running and now will not start, I think I may have over heated it and with these videos I will be able to troubleshoot the problem. Thanks.

Very nicely done! I thought the 're-use' of the terms during your demonstration helps people commit things to memory - thank you!

+Al Ferreira Ounce your have the Blower Housing removed, take a look at this article. The process is basically the same. If you want to simplify the project, Shindaiwa offer the Recoil Starter Assembly complete for most of their models. This is much easier than pulling the old assembly apart. The recoil spring used to retrieve the rope can sometimes be difficult to deal with. The following link is the Starter Assemble for the EB820. www.ereplacementparts.com/recoil-starter-assembly-p-505446.html. Use your model number to find the correct assembly for your blower.

Hi, the best time to change the spark plug and the air filter, is when the air filter becomes dirty from all of the contaminates.

The tried and true Shindaiwa EB802! I would put my modded 802 up against an EBZ8500 any day.

What was that tool you use for the spark plug

    • @FIXTechGuides

+Mitchell Zawacki A "Scrench" was used to remove the spark plug on this one. This has a flat screwdriver, spark plug socket and a smaller socket on the other side.

Fuel filters are easy, spark plugs are harder if you don't have the right tool and leaf blowers are assential.
