Brilliant video, got the same carburettor on my Echo 30 hedge cutter. Would run at idle but cut out when opening throttle. Was the main jet with the O ring was blocked. Cleaned it out and hey presto , back to full operation . Thanks
Yes, it was. However I would like to see him work on one that say, someone brings in that wont start, and is not getting gas from the primer bulb. I appreciate his teaching on how to repair, or take a carb apart; but I would like him to go through trouble shooting and fix the weed eater, or blower, or chainsaw. Love the tutorial. I will be watching from here on out.
fuck shit... i tried to add all of the gaskets that came in the package, but when that didnt work out well(it started to spit out fuel), i just set it back as the old one was, lol. still no fuel in the cylinder tho...
After viewing, I was able to tear mine down, clean it, and reassemble with the existing parts. I was ready to throw it away or take it into a shop. Thanks!
On the metering body of my carb, (Walbro WYL 280A 101) opposite the filtering screen is a cone spring. Can you tell me the purpose for this spring, and if the carb would function without it. Thank you for your time.
very good vid . thanks.. My trimmer keeps flooding and plenty of gas spits out of the exhaust opening when i try to start it and when i take the spark plug out gas comes out of the opening also, please help ...
Really interesting but not strictly for the average home user who may not have equipment such as air compressors, ultra sound cleaners etc! but very informative all the same
Hi I just reassembled carburetor on my McCulloch Trim Mac SL+, and I cant figure out if I should adjust the "Idle Speed Screw" that way that trimmer stops rotating. (I didn´t use it for awhile, so i don´t remember how it was earlier) Thanks in advance
If I understand your question correctly, you turn the idle screw to the left for fewer idle RPMs and to the right to increase them. Edo4609 You have 2 routes to go on this trimmer. The carburetor rebuild kit is: www.ereplacementparts.com/carburetor-repair-kit-p-282532.htmlOr you can get the new carburetor: www.ereplacementparts.com/carburetor-with-primer-p-282471.html
Great video thank you. My 4 cycle carb is setup similar on my troy bilt. I did a complete rebuild of the carb. My issue now is I cannot get the throttle cable to open up the internal valve. What have I missed or have I stetched the cable? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
How important is it to close off the fuel lines before removing them? The reason I ask is that I removed the carburetor to replace the primer bulb without closing off the fuel lines. While in there, I realized the carburetor needs cleaning, and subsequently found your video. I hope I haven't caused more problems. Very helpful video, by the way!
Hello, Do you carry any carburetors for 25 year old Homelite string trimmers? Mod# UT 15040D Serial# HM 1981127. Also the fuel line filter? Homelite hasn't supported their equipment for a long time. Thanks. Doug
Hi Doug, it looks like most of the parts for that model trimmer are no longer available. If you go to ereplacementparts.com with your model number you will be able to see everything we still have for it.
I called in for parts-carb rebuilt kit. They couldn't find the item # for my Ryobi 825R. Item # 41BD825A034. We then got disconnected. Are they obsolete or cross-referenced to anything else?
+Jack Underwood The older Equipment engines had air/fuel mixture adjustment screws. All of the newer modelsI'm familiar with are adjusted and jetted and the factory and there are no adjustments for the air/fuel moisture. ruclips.net/video/8Rzrq3MEi_0/видео.html
you can take a Dremel with a cutting disc on it and cut slots into those screws and do the adjustments to it, Those are the high and low speed mixture screws that you are talking about
Thankyou for the informative tutorials on small engines. My biggest concern is your unprotected skin / mouth while using carb cleaner..... have you googled the chemicals in this shi* . Most are documented carcinogens which should be used with caution. Please be aware viewers...
No, sorry you thought that. I was merely making a comment about how RUclips was removing the very things that make it useful. First is all of the firearm videos with instructions on how to clean and maintain, then it's the political. Don't match their views and you get strikes. This was a great, helpful video but how long before someone gets their nose out of joint and your videos are next.
I hastily disassembled the carb from a craftsman trimmer. If it wasn't for this video, I may have never reassembled it correctly. Thank You!!!!

Clear and helpful. Thanks for that excellent tutorial. No time wasted. Great tips.

Excellent tutorial, serviced my shindiwa carburetor based on this video. Unit working normal again.

i would never spray the primer bulb with carb cleaner as it will harden it. plus with all the work your doing replace the bulb.
Very good. On all areas. Thanks

30 days? geesh... ive been using the same gallon of gas from beginning of this year.
Good video bro
I haven't figured out how to adjust this particular walbro carburetor. As soon as I let go of the throttle my weedeater dies
Thank you for making and posting this very informative video. (I love the use of the ultrasonic cleaner). God Bless. tonyd\.

All that does is keep the fuel from spilling out while you are working on it.
I was hoping that was the case! Thanks!
What is the purpose of the primer bulb?

So how long before RUclips removes this video as "politically unacceptable to the community"!
Hi Ran. I'm not sure I understand what you're referring to. Is there something unacceptable about this video?
