It does a disservice to the move as out of context these things make it seem corny like when you can see the skin of the UFO rippling- in the movie when you learn why that makes it awesome but out of context it looks cheap

I think the movie isn’t doing particularly well rn. I only see so many people talking about it and my IMAX theater was almost completely empty.
It seems like the studio is doing that thing studios do when they lose confidence in their work to perform. Which is a shame because I think NOPE is great!
Ikr?! It’s more of an edit style trailer that’s good to see AFTER you already finished the movie. The kind of thing to make you see it a 2nd time. Actually on a separate official channel it’s actually called “See it again” or something I think so somebody got it right.
@@fortheloveofcinema It's grossed over $100,000,000 making it the 7th highest grossing movie of the year. And seeing as it's not a franchise movie or a sequel and it's only been out for 3 weeks I'd say it's doing pretty damn good. Only 5 movies that came out last year did better than that.

I'm so lucky I knew nothing about the movie when I saw it because I'm genuinely pissed at universal right now. They showed basically everything in the movie including the end. Like it shows every spoiler about the movie. They downright show the inside of the alien as well as it's full form. I have a feeling Jordan Peele had no control over this either because he wouldn't have shown that much of the movie if he had any control. Shame on you Universal, you probably ruined the movie for a lot of people.

They did the same thing with spiderman far from home like 2 weeks later which Is pretty much the same case for this, if you wanna see you'll go see it regardless
This was the absolute worst movie I have seen in a very long time. The story line is just randomness like a child came up with it.

Absolutely insane for them to drop the final trailer like a day before it comes out in Australia when the trailer spoils literally every single plot point and twist. Just unhinged.
Thank god I didn’t watch any of the trailers and just directly watched the movie without knowing anything about what’s coming. I knew it’s going to be freaky and unique because its Jordan Peele guys and I have watched Get Out and US. So I was expecting something mind blowing and boy I was not wrong. I was on the edge whole time and so concentrated throughout whole movie that I forgot all of my problems.
Wow, I'm SO glad I only watched the first trailer before seeing this movie. This trailer introduces way too many visuals and clues that are so much more impactful when you go in fresh. Whoever approved this probably shouldn't be doing this kind of work.....

I misjudged this movie, I thought it would be a standard horror film, with tons of blood, and nightmare-fueling images, but it wasn't it was scary, if made me genuinely afraid because it seemed more realistic, a killer UFO? Man what a great movie, although this trailer gives away too much for those who haven't seen it, they were doing a great job at keeping it secret

@@dontquestionmysanity5402 Yeah I wish they didnt put the monkey in the movie, it really didnt advance the story other than resulting in that many deaths. Edit: I knoew what the purpose of the monkey was, it just seemed unnecessary for it to be so gory
Fortunately I saw the movie yesterday being spoiled only with the trailer scene of OJ being chased by the UFO in the background.
The movie is a huge moment of cinema. Maybe not perfect but so ambitious and powerful in its concept and its mise en scene. It is brillant.
And now, watching this spoiling trailer for those who wanted to watch it is upseting and sad. Big time.

Wow. Goddamn. Speechless. I can confidently say this is Jordan Peele's best film to date, and I absolutely cannot wait to see where he goes from here. This movie begs for, no... DEMANDS a second, and third viewing.... and gets better each time you see it. See it in a theater if you can, the sound design is spectacular.

Jordan Peele is unique in the fact that he can do both comedy and Sci-Fi. Key and Peele was a funny ass show, but as much as I used to enjoy Mad TV in the 1990's, their sketches on Mad TV could have been better, if they were given the opportunity to write more. That's why watch Key and Peele (which was far superior to 2000's Mad TV) and avoid their Mad TV material. Watch Mad TV up to 2003 and then Key and Peele after that. Mad TV after 2003 was bad in general. Around the time the writers of the show were preoccupied with parody films.

Spoilers for the movie, but i think it's from a cut sequence where there was a subplot of an obsessive stalker of Gordy's Home who comes to the set to kill Gordy, and he shoots Gordy himself the day of the incident instead of the police doing it
I absolutely love Jordan Peele’s movies, but I saw this last night and I’m not sure about it. The visuals were awesome, the scenes of the UFO were great, but the characters and dialogue drove me up the wall. There was literally a UFO above them and half of their reactions were monotone and very casual, like you would not say “Nope” and just stay cool and calm sitting in your car while a UFO is above you.
People tend to act hyper casually in the midst of heavily traumatic events, because if the mind were to properly process it at the time they would not be in the right mind space to escape. So when it’s something cosmically horrifying and incomprehensible I don’t doubt that a character instead of processing it would quite literally respond with “nope”. Loved the film, gets better the more I think about it
I mean I would sit in my car and wait and try to keep composure. I mean what are you supposed to do ? Scream at the top of your lungs and wave your arms around in the air like that’s gonna do anything to help ?
OJ had already had encounters with the UFO, the most recent one happening at Jupiter's Claim--when it came right TO him, before him seeing it above his car. There's no need for him to lose his mind when he's had multiple run-ins already.

Research shows people LIKE spoilers. So that's why this shows every scene including the alien inside.
If it's at all instructive as to the psychological mechanism; personally, spoilers makes me feel invested. I've responded to being invited to make it my own, so now I'll watch it. I'm not disappointed, rather the opposite; I have received some privileged insider cinematic gossip currency.

they know what they are doing in this trailer, like most viewers they are thinking ship, flying saucer but its way deeper, the film reveals its actually a life form, reminds me of annihilation film

Saw that movie yesterday with my partner and his brother, it was AMAZING!! Inteligent characters, especially OJ, and creepy atmosphere that made your skin crawl.
