As well as let someone speak who might be more educated than you. I live in Washington and I can personally attest to the legalization of marijuana has all but taken out all the black market dealers I've known 30 years who would sell to kids, out of the game. As they cannot compete with prices.
@Zquadfather Well, no, making the selling of marijuana legal has nothing to do with preventing ts smuggling across the border. Its still illegal to bring it in from other countries, so if their supplier is outside the country, they're gonna have to smuggle it in. Also, nothing stops the cartels from starting up marijuana shops thru their drug dealers instead of selling on street corners, so I don't know why you think the cartels aren't still getting their money.

And Its not a moral war on drugs, its a practical one. A society high as kites doesn't function well. That's why uppers and downers are regulated, why alcohol has legally limits, etc. And you can't get only a _little_ high from heroin, like you can get just a buzz from alcohol, and be satisfied. People who take it will chase the high, regardless of how legal the amount required to reach it is. And we'll end up with an even larger underclass of unproductive and self destructive drug addicts than we have now, assuming they survive in the first place.
