The 2022 Helios 300 seemed like a way better deal to me than you allude to - from the fps comparisons between the 4060 and 3070, the 3070 was almost universally better, especially if you're going for 1440 gaming, plus a nicer panel than most laptops in the price range. I ended up buying it last night - did I perhaps miss something lowering what I thought was amazing value? Should I have perhaps gone with a 4060 rig like the Predator Helios Neo 16 that is $20 more? Thanks for the info!
The Helios is good, we never had the 3070 config to see how it compares, we had the 3070 Ti and those are closer to 4070, so I'm guessing the 3070 is closer to 4060.

should i get the ASUS TUF A16 or ASUS strix G16 4050? They both have the same gaming performance. I’ve been looking at the A16 for quite a while because of its battery life, so do you think i should get it?
The Strix is a higher tier ASUS laptop than the TUF for $50 more, but yeah game performance will be roughly the same. A16 does have killer battery life, the longest lasting gaming laptop we tested in 2023, so if that's important then A16 it is - plus the 7600S has 2gb more VRAM than the 4050.
Yes. Newegg is a legit big tech store in the US who ship globally and the LOQ is the best budget gaming laptop of 2023 in my opinion. I talk about why here: ruclips.net/video/ofaDHdnW4x0/видео.html

Legion is better in terms of game FPS as 4060 is about 24% faster than 4050 at 1440p, plus 8GB VRAM vs 6GB will be nicer for future games. Neo might have better screen, not 100% on that.

It's a good laptop, I think someone posted on reddit that it was down to $1300 with the right coupons. You could try ours, JTDEAL6 for 6% off, but it might not stack with some of the better ones they have atm.
Which one should I get, slim 7i (13900h, 4070) or MSI gp68hx? It is not as portable, but it has a 4080. And I don't mind about the screen as I have a qhd external display. Just can't decide if I should sacrifice portability for a 4080.
Slim is a much nicer and more portable laptop overall, but GP68 will give you much more FPS, so yeah depends if you need to travel with it often or want the better gaming experience. 4070 will still do quite well at 1440p, especially with some DLSS action.

I bought the ASUS - ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition 15.6" QHD Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 9 5980HX and immediately regretted the purchase. Overheating and low battery life were just the start. The overheating caused damage to the lousy little power cord connection. Trying to get ANY resolution from Asus was a continuous exercise in futility. Eventually tried Best Buy, as that was purchase location. Repaired at a cost of $300 as the rep on site for Asus refused responsibility. So a new motherboard and power supply was required. My thinking that a $1700 laptop from a reputable company and store would be a good idea was all wrong. Laptop arrived and was a brick. Now going on another round of repairs and a month of no laptop. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MANUFACTURER
I do not have a specific number, just the result of the connection between power supply and motherboard was compromised and required a replacement of both components. It was way too hot apparently.

That said, when I got the 2022 Helios deal, I ended up not using zip for the 11% discount because it charges interest to split the payment charges to your credit card, which didn't seem worth the discount for me. acer predator helios neo 16'' i7 13700HX RTX 4060 at 1050 usd
VS
ASUS ROG Strix G16 i7 13700HX ,RTX 4060 at 1099 usd
Both are good and will perform similarly, I could go either way to be honest.
And pulled the trigger on the 32GB Lenovo Legion Slim 5 14" thanks to these codes dropping it below $1400 shipped!
Nice, enjoy!
Sucks that Alienware with the i7-13700hx can only go up to DDR5 4800 RAM
No good deals here in India 😢, 4060 laptops cost arount 1400-1500 dollars, well even if the deals were good, I Just couldn't get the laptop I want to buy, which is legion slim 7 Amd model, for some reason it is not launched in Asia but the Intel variant is, that too with only white backlight keyboard 😑, not expected from Lenovo
Not much here in Australia either! US gets all the fun it seems.
Intel is better because of thunderbolt for legion
If I may ask, what were the temps when overheating?
I do not have a specific number, just the result of the connection between power supply and motherboard was compromised and required a replacement of both components.
It was way too hot apparently.
@@micknolan2061 oh alright thanks
Bought legion pro 7 7945hx with 4090 for £2600 with discount of 15%
Nice hope it goes well!
I thought you wouldn't upload more videos here
Yet here we are
Will legion pro 5i I9 rtx4070 go sale soon?
Not at B&H, I asked them and they said not back to 1400. Maybe on Lenovo's site, we'll see.
On newegg its at 1250
@@josecrack125 it might be the I7 not the I9
I do not think 2023 is good year for notebook gaming. The price still expensive for 4070😅
Some of them came down a lot in the last few days.
@@JarrodsLaptops thx you for your information, please stay update to us 🙏

Sh*ty black Friday I've ever seen 😭😭😭
use promocode
i think
You are not factoring in the code. Use the code and change the payment method to get 11% off list price.
@@JarrodsLaptops the Code zip111 is trickery. Work first, then right before your final order it stops working.
@@myoti9831 it removes the discount and tells you the promo code doesn't work on the final order page - until you change your payment method to Zip, when the screen will refresh and re-apply the promo code and give you the discount before finalizing. It's not intuitive and I can see why you might think it's trickery.
That said, when I got the 2022 Helios deal, I ended up not using zip for the 11% discount because it charges interest to split the payment charges to your credit card, which didn't seem worth the discount for me. YMMV and best of luck.
bruh mate, where's the code? That's why use your due diligence, make the best of your advantage at hunting codes!
ZIP111 doesn’t work
Yep that deal ended a day ago, it's why those listings aren't on the deals site anymore. Check it for what's currently active.
just picked up a lenovo legion pro I7 with the rtx 4090 intel I9 HX 32gb ram. good price and thats why i went with it.
I was thinkin abt the 4080 version but got asus m16 4070 instead cause I didn't rly liked the build quality for lenovo but enjoy those specs man
Nice, enjoy!
@@Noviath-kw7dg huh, I'm actually regarded Lenovo as better build quality than Asus, and that's when I'm actually an Asus aficionados funnily enough 😅
@@baoquoc3710 tbh man, I've got the 4070 asus for 1500 but I could return it and get the 7i pro 4080 for 2000. I will test my asus for a week or so and make the decision. I've been a huge fan of asus as well, all my laptops been asus. You think the 7i pro is worth the hustle I'll get into w returning and stuff? 😂
Im so glad i got the Legion 5I Pro when it was $1399 with the 4070. It has I9 13900HX, RTX 4070, 32 DDR5, 1TB, 2560*1600 resolution. Same price as the M16 with better specs. I am so glad i saw it before the price went up
