- Hi everyone, welcome back!!
I've been doing my own nails using a gel x nail kit for months now, and I can honestly say that I love it! I'm the type of girl that loves having my nails done but hates going to the nail salon with a burning passion (ok, that's a tad dramatic lol).
If you've been thinking about starting gel x nails at home, this is your sign!! I hope this tutorial helps♥
Let me know if you have any questions that I might not have answered/talked about in the video!

Hithere :) I put my first layer into the lamp for well over 30 seconds, and my gel X (dupes) still hold on for a very long time. 4 weeks at least, sometimes longer, when I only change the upper layers and colours :) Just a thought: if you put more gel onto the tip before applying, so that there is no air bubble/gap between the end of the gel and the end of your nail it might hold out longer than for 2 weeks. :)
Also 1 hour is not long :O I take like 2 hours per hand :D:D
Oooooh good to know! Thank you for the advice!!❤️
Hi, thanks for the video. I’ll be getting a gelX kit. My question - how do you get them off?
Honestly sometimes I just pop them off🫢 If it’s been 2 weeks or more, they aren’t too hard to pop off/don’t hurt, but that’s not the best for your nails. A lot of times I also trim them down as much as possible, coke off the top layer of the gel (just the top coat), then soak in acetone or do a cotton ball w/acetone and wrap my fingers in tin foil for about 20ish minutes. After that, they get kinda gummy and you just scrape them off!
