Rewriting notes helps me and listening to lectures, and reviewing previously learned skills or concepts helps mw.
Are paralegal Studies students required to answer fact patterns in their classes in the same way law school students are required to using the Issue, Rule, Analysis, Conclusion Metahod? Is the education, skills, and knoledge that Paralegal Studies students learn in their classes as transferable and as versatile as the education, knoledge, and skills of law school students?
These videos are always helpful! Thanks
I'm studying Insurance and the laws were killing me...Glad I found your channel...Great teacher
Awesome! Love it. Thank you,
I watch your video all the time. Excellent
Your videos are brilliant. They are short and very helpful.
My method for studying is 45 minutes. When I really don’t want to do something but I have to, I set a timer for 45 minutes and tell myself that I will try study hard for that time, and as soon as time is over I’m done. Since I started doing it I was surprised how much I get done in 45 minutes.
If you haven’t heard of it, look at my video called the Pomodoro Technique. It takes what you are doing to the next level.
Thank you so much for sharing this helpful video, if u don't mind I need your help in answering this question:how active /interactive learning can be forested and tested?
Work through multiple choice questions. Write down why the correct answer is right and why the other answers are wrong. Do this open book, and take time with this.
@@Learnlawbetter thank you sooooooo much.
thank you mr baez
You're videos are extremely informative, thank you for all the tips and information you've shared! I had a question, I'm currently in an early college high school and was wondering what associates should I get if I'm planing to become a lawyer one day?
It generally doesn’t matter. Law school provides you with all the skills you need. I would try to take as many courses that help you practice critical thinking by writing essays. That could be courses in philosophy or history.
Professor Baez,
I need some advice. I attended UCLA and have a 3.9 GPA but decided I no longer wanted to take a Gap year to study for the LSAT. I'm signed up for the March LSAT, but I am scoring mid 150s. I have been preparing for two months now. If you were in my position, would you apply to a regional school (I think I can get admitted with my scores despite being very late in the admissions cycle) or take the gap year and apply next cycle and receive better scholarship opportunity. I think I can transfer to a higher ranked school later if need be. I have always been a good student, but the LSAT is fairly challenging for me. My reasoning for applying now is losing money in the long run by delaying a career in big law and the uncertainty of a score improvement on the LSAT. Love your videos!
Thank you,
James
Many go to law school thinking they will transfer, only to find out that they can’t because their grades are too low. Also, no scholarship money from the school you transfer to. If you believe you can score significantly higher with more time, then do that. Finally, most scholarship money is gone now-applying earlier in the cycle will get you more, even if you don’t get a much higher score. And with the high cost of tuition you want as much of a scholarship as possible.
Learn Law Better thank you professor. I really appreciate the response.

Ok, I was totally distracted until he started doing the inward thing and then I could concentrate
What do you think of writing on paper vs writing on a laptop/computer to revise? I personally used to find writing on paper useful but it is fairly time consuming and requires a lot of energy given the amount of material you have to study, so I am considering switching to digital.
It depends on your typing speed and how legible your handwriting is. If you can type at least 35 words per minute then typing is the better option.
@@Learnlawbetter Thanks for the reply! Typing should be the better option for me then since I can type 60 words per minute easily.
