Don’t rely too heavily on the fact that you are a legacy. Some people think bringing it up too many times makes you sound entitled. I would only mention it when asked. And when you do talk about it, hopefully you were active in auxiliary as a child. Good luck 🥰
Wish I would've watched this video sooner😭 The organization I'm interested in recently had an event over live stream and I joined wearing a color from another organization (NOT THINKING AT ALL🤦🏾♀️) One of the girls in the organization told me she liked my shirt but I'm sure it was sarcasm...There was no certain dress code but do you think they will hold this against me and not accept me?
Oh no! I’m almost positive she was being sarcastic lol, but I’m sure it’s nothing they haven’t seen before. Nobody is the perfect candidate, we all made the same mistakes starting out. Just keep expressing interest and trying to stand out in a positive way. PRO TIP: There is ALWAYS a dress code, even if it isn’t advertised. Good luck to you!
alaysiadakara most HBCU's BGO's have to cross on the same day because of the insurance policies. So, most of the candidates know when they are going to cross.
Ik this is old but pledge isn’t bad everywhere like if you attend a pwi, Panhellenic Councils have “pledge classes” so it’s not seen as bad and maybe others think it’s ok
hazing is any forceful act that an org imposes on you. it can be as small as telling you what to wear, where to go, what to eat, or as big as physically harming someone.
