If you didn't meet people in person, your problem wasn't fb or insta. Your problem was way bigger.

Ha... I had an Facebook account some 6 years ago and cancelled the account 1 year later. I don't want to know what family is eating in restaurants and that the angry hamster of a niece suddenly died after admission of a rabies vaccin. Then I discovered I gained a lot of quality time so I also cancelled my LinkedIn account. Best decisions ever. What is left: calling and visiting best collegues, friends and family. Having real time together without stupid small talk.
I only have youtube and deleted the rest,had enough of it...still smoking tho🤷

I never had a Facebook account, but unfortunately everybody here in the Netherlands uses WhatsApp, so that way they still have lots of info about me.
When this was on tv it made me to quit facebook. never missed it a moment

I did it a bit differently. Sometimes I really need to get some info from some page for work, but I made a seperate account on a clean and cheap laptop with a new spam email account and I never login to anything related to my day to day accounts. Works great
a little misconception about login with facebook:
they dont collect your login for that webside. It is the other way round: you dont need a login for that website but facebook guarantees to the website that you are the legitimate account owner. This way the website does not need to store login credentials of you and therefore if they get hacked no login information about you can be stolen. This feature actually makes the intrwebs more secure.
But ofc facebook is not offering this service from pure goodwill. The fact that you ask them to authenticate you for the website includes that facebook knows you are an active user of that website which is ofc another data point about you in their collection.

If you just block all javascript from facebook unless you're actually on the site then they basically lost all direct means of tracking you.

I still use Facebook and I love it! I post things that I do in my live and really enjoy seeing it one or a few years later as a memory. I am not naive, I know that Facebook collects all kinds of info on me.
I stoped it a couple of months ago still going strog.
How much do you understand, and how much do you read the subtitles? I heard you are sort of trying to learn Dutch and my experience with foreign languages is that at first everything sounds blurred, then you understand some words, then subtitles are usefull, but only needed for complicated texts and in the end you start questioning odd translations in the subtitles, including finding out that swearing are not translated, but just filled in with a random swearword in the language of the subtitles.

I deleted my account on the eventday and the only thing i missed was the birthdays
But i just added them in my agenda on my phone and that problem was also solved.

Never had facebook. Don't see the use of it. At a bithday when someone tells something. Almost everybody reacts: Iread that on facebook🤦♂. There is no reason to talk to a person anymore.
I don't use it. I don't want anybody to post anything about me. I don;t want my picture on facebook.
But to be fair, I do have a google acount. That is what I can't do without. And I think google is almost as creepy as facebook.
hahaha, nice video, about facebook. it sound crazy, i got on facebook as the first in NL, we had something diff. but simular ( hives, ) i think it was in 2009 or so. there was only an englisch version, but later on i see some strange things happening, lateron with the smartphone tech, and in early 2014 i deleted completly never regret it, for one moment.
some ppl say sometimes to me, about this and that, did you know that, have you heard this or that.. it was on facebook. nope. i read some respectable newspapers, that i know the information is valid.
1:00 at least i think i might be getting to the bottom of at leats getting conflict out of the world. and a lot of reasons why only few people are enjoying life OFF our backs. just dont know if iam actually turned crazy by this shit earth or not xD and i can be a 100% shure that if humans come even close to being a genuine good human being. as to be good we have been tought a lot about being good and everyone HAS to be able to do it becouse they would be outcast. thus my reason being, that if we find the actual common goals between genuine good human beings, and actually get to the problems wich are halting progress for all of humanity. becouse, atleast we have been told that the idea of a democracy is. that the people ``giving to the community`` are ALL able to make deccisions. HAVENT WE ALL BEEN SAYING TO STOP WARS??? so maybe honesty to our so called ``treats to democracy`` have possibly been the neccesairy evil that people who follow god, have actually been the ones keeping treats to their views how the world should at least be progressing, by the people leading us, lying to us, using us. for their own greed. so they are able to live the best lives in that time period. becouse they are the actual bad god (or any possible religion) could be talking about that those are the actual people in hell becouse they instead of progressing together. where the ones halting peoples progress most. or setting us back heavily. i hope that there are people that are actually religious, that also at least have some intrest in being tought about the other side they keep to so hostile and have had some toughts of connecting dots? and i think there is also talk in all the books that people should suffer together, thus all of us needing to be equal. everywhere. we could possibly have no form of money around the world, if we have good people leading us. making shure we gather and limit the use of our recources in the ways we can have smart people acually lead us, that also giving us honest leaders, leaders we can 100% thrust. so our current enemy is shown we are no threat, we are actually living in a way that people suffering there are 100% able to at least want to not destroy us, becouse its actual progression for everyone. also making us actually want to make us ACTUALLY FIGHT. becouse there would be no bad person to be as you stand out instantly when everything is honest, making you that current biggest treat of in my mind actual democracy. as we would be smarter i hope, that withholding information and telling lies. will probably always fool others. keep asking why`s, how`s, what do`s. find where the reasons are feelings and get those questions to a logical anwers and you could find a lot of actual made up lies when you are fully honest.
if you think im not that crazy and i actually got some common sense left atleast, maybe this is the best message we could be sharing on the internet? again, using that democracy of us.

I never had Twitter and Instagram. Since 2020 I quite with Facebook and deleted permanently my account. The best decision ever! I still don't have any Social Media accounts. Facebook was an obsession for me. Nowadays no obsession and no stress. I don't miss it. Really recommended to everyone

Ever heard a kid in his early twenties talk about making the world a more open and connected place so that we can solve the major problems we are facing as humanity and in our community? If you do.. this kid is probably a scapegoat/straw man for someone working for some secret organization.
That kid wasn't a straw man, he was/is the owner. That is how he became one of the richest men in the world. Nothing secret about it. All just in the open. Everybody knows it, but at least half of them support him by using his products.
