- When Octavia Spencer and Allison Janney first met, they did not like each other. In fact, they were crushing on the same guy. But soon realizing they had a similar sense of humor, the two quickly bonded and now their 20-plus years of friendship has carried them through some of life’s biggest ups and downs. “If I’ve had a horrible day, she’s just able to make everything better,” Janney says. Adds Spencer: “Our friendship has lasted so much longer than that guy. It’s true love!”

Their scenes together on Mom were hysterical.
I love that they are friends!
I have never been a sitcom person, really, but I can't get enough of Mom, and have every available dvd. Janney's delivery is always so spot-on; her tone of voice, her body language, her facial expressions- she totally gets everything that's funny about the situation, and then amplifies it just enough to still be believable (wink, wink), yet make it even funnier.
I have all seasons but the last on DVD. So sad they didn't continue without Anna Faris.
If you love her in that you gotta watch the West Wing, she is INCREDIBLE!!!!😘👌🏻

Both are such long time accomplished actors, it's only natural that they compliment because of their respect. So funny on "Mom" for that short time.
BTW, anyone see Octavia on SNL, the skit where she sues a pharmaceutical company for plagiarizing her family names? How she kept straight is beyond me.
