How are you able to fish sacred eels with your current account restrictions?
@@asomedude21 Because I am using a resource from a boss being the fishing bait to fish them. It's the same for using gold of bones to get xp in those skills. As long as the resource is consumable and comes from a boss I am all good to use it

Did it work for you to skip wizards? I tried to kill the sara wizard for hard clue and then go dig for master clue and they spawned :(

RE: Silk. On the wiki there are mummy's in the Icthlarin's little helper quest pyramid. Can you not use the recoil/retribution slayer method to kill them for their silk? It drops at 1/12.83

I meant that I didn’t like knowing what items they may get, not that I didn’t like knowing they get items. If I didn’t think they’d get any drops I probably wouldn’t watch, if I wanted to see someone go dry I’d just play the game myself haha. Honestly with you having the fang now, I wish you could just train slayer normally, obiviously still restrict looting unless slaying a boss.
It's alright with the current rules. Now that I have unlocked it again I can do it pretty quick. I even have a semi new method to speed it up a bit more ;)

Why do you need a negative crush bonus helm for slayer? I probably missed it at some point but I’m mad confused by that
So I need that much because it allows me to never hit a Slayer creature with the Archer helm, baguette and snake skin shield. That means I can use Slayer drops like rings of recoil to gain Slayer xp :)

Are you not able to upgrade the Salve Ammy? Surely Tarn counts as a boss and the book is a quest item since it counts as a miniquest.

The only place I've found the warrior ring to better is if you are duo bandos and the tank is using it spec with a bgs or dwh and switching over to brimstone ring after spec
Yea I might only be using it for BGS spec in the future but lightbearer might be better
Can you use the Hunter Kit spell to get Hunter stuff, and does that unlock Hunter skill for you? Like you could catch some chinchompas for boss in gwd maybe? or is that against your ruleset.

Because I am using a consumable resource from a boss which is fishing bait from tempoross. It follows the same rules as using something like gold to train crafting or bones from bosses :)

The fang is still better than the voidwaker in all places as a main hand. But the spec is different. It would become my best spec weapon on some bosses

Not sure if this helps in any way but the other night I found out by mistake you can spawn two of the elite clue guardians on the same step. I was using bp or bowfa and trying to speed through the clue so I was spamming dig again before the armadyl guardian died but after I had gotten the final xp drop. Digging the same tick my hitsplat showed and finished the kill made another spawn but the step was completed
Thats pretty cool to know. i don't need it any more but just shows how weird the mechanics of clue guardians are

Yea it will be a really solid spec weapon. I don't think it's better as a main hand over the fang atleast. But the spec will be nice and I will hunt it in the future

Yea it would make it possible. I haven't tested it but I imagine it works for all clue guardians

Pretty sure the reasoning is: He got a consumable from a boss, which he then uses on a skill, so he can keep what he gets from that

The consumable is the fishing bait I get from tempoross for sacred eels. The harpoon is just for a fishing boost

1 tip, if you use the white portal instead of the pool to heal your status is faster. The pool have some annoying stall timer. I'm just curious, but can you use this "alts" to kill bosses? I didn't find anything about this in the rules doc. Cheers
I basically go with it being fine to speed up my grind but not skip a grind with an alt. So I made it to the DKS myself with my axe after months but I just used another alt to speed up the process of killing it. I have done it before for the old version and at the giant mole before. My account still has to be good enough to kill them fast enough so I reckon it's fine

somethings not sitting right with me on this episode, namely sacred eels and having a second player for DKs.
i understand the resources for fishing eels come from bosses, but you're getting loot from them that's really meant to be exclusive to zulrah and one of the reasons as to why you'd kill them.
when you started off this account the rules were specifically to *exclusively* get loot and xp from bosses (or boss instances like the fight caves, ToA mining room, and barrows crypts) outside of rare, progression stopping exceptions.
if we used the same logic here, we can say that getting feathers allows you to do fly/barb fishing, getting tree seeds from bosses allows you to harvest tree resources besides xp, and that clue bottles from fishing are also legal because we used boss drops to obtain them, despite them not directly coming from a boss.
on the latter, having a second player for DKs just feels like disrespect towards playing an ironman account, where you'd ideally be doing most of the content solo and working around your limitations. technically legal, but it just feels dirty mate.
Well my rules have remained the same the whole time and I have always been using the bait outside of bosses. I just used to fish pike until I unlocked sacred eels. I know when I was going for my magic staff I was fishing pike to get the clues so that as always been a thing. For other bosses I am fine with using another account to speed up a grind instead of skipping it. thats why I get the rune throwing axes myself but use another account to help me kill something

Ah so I didn't explain but at wintertodt it doesn't matter if you use any axe above a steel axe. You will always cut at the same speed :)
