I finally manage to work my way through my herblore troubles to unlock some of the best transport methods and items for my account. With the wilderness rework still 2-3 weeks away (when this was recorded) I tried to get everything setup so I could farm the bosses before they were changed. Just incase they were reworked and it became much harder for me.

Im all up for an exception to get some silk. Elven quest line and prif is some good content especially for a boss only account

The 4 diamonds of the desert treasure quest are gained from killing bosses which unlock a pyramid, in that pyramid there are mummies that drop silk. Now if this is enough to be connected to a boss is up to you, but I would say that it is related to a quest boss, technically multiple.
Also according to your rules "I am allowed to complete quests if I can get the required items from bosses. Items listed as quest items on the Wiki can be obtained in any way including buying from shops or item spawns. Some exceptions will apply to certain quests that unlock bosses."
How would buying silk violate this rule?
Silk is not listed as a quest item on the wiki page
@@DinodanGaming Oh, the wiki definition of a quest item, not a quest item as in any item needed for a quest. My mistake there I suppose.
Yea someone mentioned the silk issue but for desert treasure I can't complete the quests leading up to it. I can't do tourist trap since I can't get the desert robes in any way :/
I fill like there are some items that should quest items don't count as quest items because it's from a shop , some items if you wanted could fall under the exception rules only if it could unlock a boss , or make items that aren't quest items x amount of gp
@@Zayzed how are these items not considered quest items? They are directly required to complete the quest. Seems like an oversight and anyone could just go update the wiki to reflect that

I feel like you should be able to get silk because it unlocks a boss(gauntlet). I like the idea of exceptions being made if it unlocks a boss
I don't wanna make any more exceptions for bosses since it would make my previous grinds kinda useless. I have had to do bosses early to get drops to unlock quests and theory-craft my account around unlocking what I can. So if I can just get items to complete quests then honestly it would ruin it for me
That basically just makes it a normal account, restrictions make the account good.

I will say, I feel your barrows pain. I was going for collection logs before I took a break and in 216 chests, I had 3 items, ahrim staff, ahrim hood, and kbow
Oh trust me it is tough. All the cheats happen at 5 per hour so the time it takes to do them is insane

you should be able to do all the quests, I think it's kinda dumb that because you can't get SILK you wont be able to do the gauntlet ever lol
If I allowed all the quests the series would have half the amount of episodes it currently has and make many episodes and grinds just disappear. I would never have had to do chaos ele with my early stats or grinds like killing Zulrah to get the swamp tar for other quests so the strange fruit mechanic wouldn't have been found :)

Nah I will keep the rules as they are. The thing is about having the quest rules as they are they let me actually make more content. Otherwise I would have never had to do Chaos ele, Zulrah or Zammy this early but I needed to for quest items to progress my account :)
i‘d really want you to allow yourself to let you buy/get an item from ‚anywhere‘ if it helps you to unlock more content like the gauntlet.

I do plan to finish the account with getting my best in slots then unlocking all quests and bosses as a completionist sorta thing

Can you do NMZ for herb boxes, since you basically kill quest bosses in there?
If you need specific barrows items, you can just kill that specific brother and rush the chest. You still have the same chance of that specific item, but you can do more chests per hour.
There is a singular quest monster that drops silk. The mummies in icthlarin's little helper.
Yea in the quest you don't have to kill them so I have already completed the quest

In order for you to get items blocking you from other bosses, you should have to drop a high tear item from a boss. I.e the fang, bcp/tassets, zgs or bgs, any 1 item over 10m

Really should make a rule to be able to get all bosses unlocked gauntlet would add some entertaining content.
I don't wanna make any more exceptions. If I made one for items it would make the series way less interesting. there has been so many times I had to do a boss early or theory-craft a way to complete quests and just make an exception now would make the previous grinds feel kinda useless to me

So the revenant 'Boss' is just a superior revenant. Like in slayer you wouldn't called a superior a boss :)

Nah I can't do desert tresure :/
I've got a couple things that I believe should be allowed.
1. Obsidian Armour. I wouldn't complain if you had to farm a shit load of jad to gather tokkul to buy the obby armour, full price and without using karamja gloves.
2. Any boss that is locked behind a quest should be a free pass to do the quest but you're not allowed to keep any quest rewards, like ToB, can do the questline but not allowed to keep the blisterwood flail if you had to break rules to complete it.
For how the account is I don't want to make any more exceptions. But in the future when I obtain my best in slot gear and end the series I want to then start a new series on the account that unlocks all bosses :)

The Revenant 'Boss' is just a superior like you would find in slayer so it is not labeled as a boss anywhere

Also, I think small exceptions (like buying some silk) are reasonable if they unlock new bosses for you.

If I make the exception for items to unlock quests then I will lose out on so much content. There has been many times I have had to go and do a boss early to unlock a quest so I won't be making an exception for items :)
Yeah, it sucks that you can't fully complete the elven quest line, but it's understandable.
Full crystal with BowFA would completely ruin the integrity of the account, as it was meant to present a challenge, and said challenge wouldn't be that with those items.
I do wish youd scrap the quest rule thing, all quest lines that unlock a boss should be completable. Or just all quest period. No point locking yourself out of a boss on a boss acc
I won't ever scrap the quest rule. It is a massive part of the account and what makes me push for bosses on my account. If I could just complete quests I would never have had to do early game chaos ele for the bat bones, Zulrah for the swamp tar and constantly go to Zammy for loot. It really does make A LOT of my content happen. Have a restrictive rule can open up more content which is honestly pretty funny :)

I'm okay with you being locked out of Prif. Having Bowfa on this acc would take away from the unique quality and resourcefulness that this series has
Your the only person who has thought about this and commented about it. I 100% agree. Plus if I allowed the quests it would make previous grind for items useless. E.g bat bones early game from the chaos ele and swamp tar from Zulrah. Episode have been built around this rule and to change it now is wrong

I’ve always thought you restricted this account a little too much. More restrictions doesn’t necessarily mean more interesting, and there are certain things like quests, that are essential to any series because the amount of content locked behind them.
I think the restrictions are fine. If I didn't have the current restriction for items then there would be half as many episodes because of the content and grinds that it gives me.

Personally I'm kinda conflicted with this series. I love the idea of it and you do it well it just seems like all it is is you constantly explaining every single thing you have to do.
Pacing is certainly off. Still feels slow even at 1.25X speed. Not complaining too much cause this series is a perfect sleep aid
I am still trying to balance the imformation I leave in to leave out. Since it is still my first series I have made I am trying to learn so comments like this do really help me :)
