Shaan - stopping mid video to say that the idea for a play (or something similar) for business stories or little known underdog stories like Sylvester Stallone writing Rocky is awesome!
I don’t have data to support this, but I *think* male interest/attendance in plays is probably somewhat low at the moment. On the one hand, it could be harder to breakthrough because of that since I’d guess a majority of your audience would be middle to upper class male (maybe I’m wrong here?). But on the other hand, it could open up an entire new niche in the industry. Looking forward to hearing more on this in the future if you do explore it!

The robinhood halt originally was because they did not have shares and it was a global halt essentially. Many other brokers were halted because of liquidity requirements. The issue was based on cash on hand and ability to provide shares to buyers. I can't really believe that Robinhood was or is a "Market maker". It's just not even possible for them to be that with how small of a company they are. Market makers deal with Trillions of dollars in derivatives.
The next Charity Water charity challenge with MFM should be that on the next pod, every time Shaan says “like” he has to donate $10k to Charity Water.
(This is probably weird, but) Being asked to a movie has always been an automatic turn off to me. How boring… but a play about how entrepreneurs got started? That sounds super fun and like a great/unique experience

I believe he was selling calls for a while with his shares. But also amassed a large amount from royalties and selling the rights to his story for the production of the movie. No matter what, he could have made 50-100m off selling calls in small runs over the last couple years. Beyond that, he could have made an easy 10-80m off selling the rights to his life story/investing story... It's clear that he may have other cash behind him... But at this point, think about how much he has made from the movie, and from holding shares and likely putting up shares for selling covered calls...

Shaan, join a Toastmasters chapter in your local area. It will help you become an (even) better speaker, remove words such as 'like, uhm, ahh' from your speech, and do so in a super safe environment with like minded people.
Those filler words are what makes the conversation feel natural in this context.
You guys need to do your research of the facts before doing a podcast. You have it all wrong with the hedge funds, who was shorting it and by how much and how long (mostly retail), and Robinhood's role.
