Terrible events can cause loss of wealth, but a long holding period usually allows for recovery of losses. The key thing to avoid, whether you have wealth or not, is DEBT. You can only be forced to sell assets if you need income or need to pay back debt. Too much leverage can definitely wipe out all of your wealth. If you stay diversified and have very little to no debt, it is very difficult to lose all of your wealth long term. Your wealth most likely grow at a healthy, moderate rate that outpaces inflation. The market's direction can swiftly change, with indexes frequently transitioning from a bear market to a bull market. It's tricky during election years. I recently inherited a lump sum and want to invest it wisely. Any tips or strategies to take advantage of this potential upswing?
imho, the average person finds it difficult outperforming the market on a day-to-day basis. In actuality, most people who have the necessary abilities are advisors with experience since the '08 crash and beyond
Accurate asset allocation is crucial with an Experts guidance especially in times like these. I have 850k in equity, 300K cash earning 5.25 interest, 685k in 401k, 250k cash account, 120k in car assets ( paid off cars) Gold and silver bars. age is 48. My advisor helped me realign my portfolio to my risk tolerance and it boomed overtime.
How can I reach this adviser of yours? because I'm seeking for a more effective investment approach on my savings

Excellent Episode! If only it was longer. Would love to have Scott on for a longer episode! 🌟
The most frustrating thing about my first millions is the episodes that don't sound as interesting by the title often end up being some of the best. Almost skipped this one and so glad I didn't.
Just curious, if it were upto you, how would you have rephrased the title?
It's such a sad way to live. Hoarding millions and never having inner peace. The universe is telling you to go and help people, but you're still hiding in the corner like a wounded animal holding onto your power in currency.
Huh?
Endless striving is endless striving.
He talked about donating huge sums of money as he rebuilds a sustainable growth model. If you don’t have money to give, then all you have is your time. If you’re not spending 10% of your week (relative to a capital investment strategy) donating your time to charity, you’re in danger of hypocritical thinking.

Great episode and I'm a big Scott fan. FYI for those youngsters watching suffering from severe acne, know that Accutane has RUINED many lives as well. With a whole host of side effects including suicidal thoughts resulting in the act, and depression. I'm glad my parents and I decided not to put me on it when I was a teen, and I eventually cured my acne naturally!
Cure your gut, the rest will follow. If you have acne then you have problems internally. No sugar, no alcohol, homemade yogurt of various strains, and certain liver supplements all help. Glad you fixed it.

I'm an aspiring trader who would rather learn from other traders' experience than investing in the market myself, in anticipation of the next bull run. What are your thoughts on copy trading as well? Do individuals actually earn a living? Just trying to get some reassurance. I want to have a healthy portfolio worth at least $850,000. Reliable inputs please.
The strategies are quite rigorous for the regular. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off.
I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. Talking about advisors, do u consider anyone worthy of recommendations? I have about 100k to taste the water now that large cap stocks are at a discount... Thanks.
Certainly, there are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Rebecca Nassar Dunne’” for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.

Re: international cyberbullying, hacking, cancelling, character assassination => yes. Unfortunately, I have some first hand experience, with significant negative exposure to me personally, which is why Scott’s comments caught my attention. I also believe it is real, destructive, and currently being used as a form of soft war, against a still, relatively unsuspecting, west. With AI and bots, there doesn’t need to be a top 10,000 list. They can include anyone with a counter-position opinion (aka - almost anyone in the west), in their cancel/bully/sabotage campaigns. Scott Galloway, thank you for sharing this information. I've purchased numerous stocks in individual firms. Because there are so many stocks that will skyrocket in the long run, it is currently safe to buy in on ETF and ride it out. 45% of Americans do not invest in the stock market because of lack of guidance. Every year you don't invest, you are falling behind. I’m hitting numbers in the stock market I used to dream of… Going from $50k to $600k in my portfolio is surreal all thanks to insights from my financial advisor.

My major takeaways were that Scott is more bullish on a drug he’s never tried than ai and he thinks that working class people should find private loans to buy a small business and rich educated privileged people should take the “underrated” traditional corporate career path afforded by their luxury educations. The stock market is a way to protect against inflation. Particularly in the midst of a recession, investors must understand where and how to allocate funds to protect against inflation and still make profits.
In my opinion, the impact of the rise or fall of the US dollar on investments is multifaceted, but learning how to grow your money has never been easier than now that you can passively explore and experience a truly diverse market by using an advisor. director portfolio.
THE ICE CAPS ARE MELTING.
Wow. You bought the lie/ religion of “global warming”? There is huge geological change coming based on the sun and earth tilt which is causing major flooding, mud slides, excessive tornadoes, major volcanic activity that will cause earth cooling and lack of sun from circulating ash will cause famines as farms can plant but crops won’t grow due to cold and darkness. A comment on the affordability of the GLP-1s I'm a pharmacist in San Diego and A LOT of people are getting them for free if they have medi-cal (those who live fall below the "poverty"limit) so it looks like this stuff is going out to the rich and the poor, concerns with long term SE (affecting the thyroid and pancreas as someone mentioned) are important though and let's pray it doesn't turn out like the opioid crisis in 10 years, albeit GLP-1s have waaaay more advantages than opioids. For GLP1 to have a real impact on fast food stocks it would need to be prescribed to the majority of people that are eating at fast food places - generally people that can’t afford that prescription price.

Also, don’t get divorced!
