This podcast is a rollercoaster of positive emotions, inspiration and laughs. Can’t be more grateful for having these guys put content out to the world. Shaan - please do an e-commerce masterclass!! 🙏
I am a mom of 2 small boys and a YC startup founder. I listen to every episode. I always listen on Apple Podcasts, but wanted to drop a note here and say thanks for the pod. You guys are awesome- I appreciate you so much. And talking about The Game brought back some funny college moments.
Claude Shannon is the goat. Had no clue he was in on some scheming but if you know his history you know it made so much sense he was involved. Now I love him more thanks for the episode boys.
This is why I listen - because I leave each MFM pod believing it's possible. Politics used to be called "the art of the possible" but I think that definition is a better description for micro-preneurship.
I enjoyed this episode so much on Spotify, I had to come here and comment. This was so inspiring. "if you decide to play the game decide to play and win"
Yes, I feel that Sam. Great episode. And I wholeheartedly agree that it’s become so hard to be alone with your thoughts and to think about anything on a deeper level and to be just interested and curious about a topic and to get lost in trying to figure it out…
Long time listener and first time commenter... I really enjoy your pod and I especially enjoyed this episode. I've always tried to do what I enjoy and for the first 15 years of my working career that was doing something (personal training) that I really enjoyed in the moment and it fulfilled me however wasn't overly lucrative. As a hobby I started playing jokes to my wife, filming her reaction and posting it on the internet. Random I know. What started as a hobby I did just for the enjoyment has now become my job. I feel like I've retired even though I'm still putting in huge hours because I love doing it so much. Thank you lads for keeping me entertained and inspired.
Pastor Shaan thank you for this weeks services I also believe I am winning the wander stay I entered last podcast because my wife and I have been grinding recently with a lot of life bearing down on us. We will tag you, Sam, and the pod from our upcoming vacation…
I'm constantly impressed by your guys' memory recall lol. Majority of these stories and references are already familiar to me (and I'm sure much of your audience) but to casually callout the exact name, important details, connect them to other stories reaffirming the principle or topic in context, and without fumble, feed off each other. Crazy to think nothing is scripted or heavily edited lol. Love the content as always.
bro's. if you're NOT fired up after this and ready to take action , idk what else to say you dont WANT to be successful. im starting my journey right now, see you on the otherside
Sam I really resonate with your takeaway from the Ed Thorpe story… super inspiring, this upcoming week I’m going to try something new because I want to.. cheers
you missed the stories of why ed thorp left the casino and the investing world. casinos wanted him out so they drugged his drinks and messed with the brakes of his car. he left the investing world after his firm was raided (whole another story).
Ha, yeah I tried card counting while living in Vegas but then realized how much practice it takes, rather spend my time playing instruments. Definitely a motivating pod, thanks guys!
A big thank you to Sam & Shaan for the enlightening video. This podcast was a treasure trove of actionable insights served with a generous side of laughter and fun! Your refreshing approach makes even the most complex concepts easy to grasp and entertaining. I have nothing but gratitude for the valuable content you guys are putting out there for us. Shaan, an e-commerce masterclass hosted by you is definitely a dream we'd love to see come true! Keep the knowledge coming, guys!
i was playing fifa and thought about justin kan and coinbase while watching this video. and you mentioned both. that must be a sign for my startup idea. thank you
Sam’s insights from the beginning of the episode is wonderful. It’s hard for me to focus on doing interesting things because I already have a life goal so everything I try to do should be maximizing towards that end. It is interesting to know that the ways to become extremely effective, successful, or wealthy is to act according things that are interesting to you. And only that- interesting. Paul Graham talks about this in his essay on how to do great work. No one who became extremely successful hated the work that led to their greatness. Jordan Peterson calls it play. Pursue bliss?
I love this one. I cant do anything i dont like and i wont. This is the way of am. But also a blue color worker. There is work and joy. And joy pays off. A J O B pays the bills. So its all works. No privileges needs to enjoy the spare time creating something mew for you
Notices the editors are cutting the speech of each podcaster to cut out the silence. I assume this is to keep up with the TikTok attention span that todays listeners all have. Huge fan of the podcast, but I am against this editing technique. picked this up around the 36:00 mark
Been on the river boat... at 20. Where is the pod on the business of legal river boats. lol. Boats out of South carolina that drive college kids during spring break into international waters to gamble legally.
Woah i kinda figured out what they mean when they say love the process, love the journey not the goal. I figured out how to do it.. my brain went like 💥 for a second.
Alex Hormozi’s channel makes you feel like you can sell anything.
MFM makes you feel like you can build anything.
That’s the essence of it.
So listen to MFM first, sell the stuff like Hormozi and then give everything away like MisterBeast 🥰
@@realdavidpain Right on point 😂
It is Friday but Pastor Shaan took us to church!
I just love these guys 🎉
My favorite Beevis and Butthead of business.
Genius
fookin heck hahahahahahahahahahaha

Shaan and Sam don’t know how much they really help us break the 4-minute mile. You guys are special.
The tim ferris and ed Thorp podcasts are some of my favorites!

There is this saying in Bengali "Joley Uthon Apon Shoktitey" meaning roughly Shine in your own light. This podcast was just that!!! ✨✨🌟
"Like how you're typing now while I'm talking to you" 😂 subtle Sam, subtle
The tone was priceless 😂

Thrill of the shill are the only podcast ads that I have never skipped & I'll never skip🤯
Great storytelling - opening segment. Perfect ending with Claude Shannon, (Hamming), Thorpe; three of the smartest men in information theory.

Thanks, boys! Really needed to hear this!
Picked up "A Man for All Markets". Thanks for sharing!
Thorp looks like he is in his 60’s even though he is 90. He should write his next book on longevity and remaining youthful at an advanced age.
