Thank you for not simply repeating the old lie: "You just don't work hard enough!" I have never been lazy in my life, so that always came off as an insult.
So much knowledge! Absolutely free! I was never taught anything about money, I am praying and working to change that. I am 46 no retirement no savings because I made a lot of mistakes when I started investing, trying to correct that now. Already have a few thousand$ saved up to invest for long term. I would like to know what advice you could give to start my investing journey. Listening to you gives me inspiration and wisdom. Thank you so much!
I wholeheartedly concur, which is why I appreciate giving an investment coach the power of decision-making. Given their specialized expertise and education, as well as the fact that each and every one of their skills is centered on harnessing risk for its asymmetrical potential and controlling it as a buffer against certain unfavorable developments, it is practically impossible for them to underperform. I have made over 1.5 million dollars working with an investment coach for more than two years.

Great advice, Shaan. Hope this becomes the first in a series. 1. What and with who you work with is more important than how hard you work 2. Hang out with money. Changed your conversations, change your thinking, change your actions, change your results. 3. Small swings to fat pitches. Don’t swing at everything, learn to identify the best opportunities, and when you swing, swing hard.
3 Money Shifts: 1. Hard Work => Smart Work "Find the thing that feels like play to you and work to others" 2. "Far away from money => hanging out with money" peers, mentor 3. "Small swings = fat pitches" "one thing right to be rich" double down, swing hard Intensity is the Strategy
Being an avid reader, I came across a report by Northwestern Mutual on the same topic and found that if I choose to put a lump sum into solid investments, I am more likely to have a higher balance over time. Being a novice at the time, I saw that as a queue to get into the market. That was quite the turning point in my finance.
@Inthemoment830 Well, I've gotten into a plethora of assets with $30k spread across stocks index funds, and ETFs, for the long term. I've been investing with help from a pro fund manager, Herman W Jonas who oversees my investments. I've been reaping my dividends, I just reinvest from time to time.

Great advice Shaan. Awesome as always. Since I first stumbled into MFM in September 2022 my life has changed. I take my family, health and business a lot more seriously. I am a better dad and will hit my financial goals sooner because of listening to you guys. Please turn this into a series
my biggest take away from loosing over 250k in funds / literal ponsi scheme: just because "smart people" are investing, does NOT mean you should. 1. understand the business or offering from your own first principles. 2. DEEP self done due diligence: verify bank statements, verify they are from the bank, talk to other investors ask about their due diligence, talk to customers etc. I'm only 23 in tech ill recover lol learning moment
The private market, it’s where a lot of money is made. I’m just starting to come to mind about things taking place in the world, how people make money and invest it. Thanks for sharing about your “Loss” and what you’ve learned from it, by the sounds of it I’m sure it’ll lead you to your fat pitch.
As someone who just sold a large digital marketing agency and going all in AI. I needed to hear this Podcast. Thank you for sharing, you should do this type of content more often.
You respond to EVERY single comment?!?!! Really? All 1.2K? Lol. Very impressive. THAT is level 15 volume. Intensity and massive commitment. Love it. Content is GOLD!!!!
Great video. We are all seeking for financial independence and a better way of life. This is not difficult to achieve with savvy investing, a frugal lifestyle, and cautious budgeting. I'm glad I learned early on to work hard for financial independence. As Warren Buffet said, he has seen this happen many times in his life. Not an investor, My husband and i never earned more than a middle class salary. We plan to get retired at 58 with a stock portfolio worth $4M. We have never sold so much as one share of stock.
@stanleyedwin6947 Any chance you can recommend who you work with for those of us who want to make the right plays now and be better positioned for a healthy retirement?
@stanleyedwin6947 Thanks a lot for this. I really needed the recommendation, and I would love to move my funds from an existing mutual fund. I'll check her ouT.
The thing I took away the most from this pod, obviously everything was valuable, but when you said “you can have anything you want, but you can’t have everything. And that is a tough lesson to learn in life.” Eye-opening. Gives me something to reflect on to truly figure out what I want my fat pitch to be.
"Just go work with the smartest, highest energy, most resourceful people you can find" For me that was on point advice that I'm 100% definitely going to take. Thank you!
I'M so happy I made productive decisions about my finances that changed my life forever, hoping to retire next year... Investment should always be on any creative man's heart for success in life.
First time I've heard you, Shaan. I am almost 60, working on the biggest business idea imaginable (convinced by teachers like you that I DO have all it takes!!) and absolutely LOVED your energy, the story-telling and the very valid points you make. Thank you! Subscribed.
Thanks Shaan! Sometimes I feel like I have imposter syndrome but realize that many people are in that place. I am 34, I have a family, 3 kids. One with autism, one who had infantile botulism at 3 months old (she's two and a half now). It's been quite the wild ride since then and carving out time to focus on something has been tough. You and Sam have an incredible drive and motivate many of us and the key thing I pulled out from this as a reminder is to just FOCUS ON ONE THING. The new shiny things are everywhere but it completely makes sense. With less time than ever from a busy household, I completely understand that spreading one's self too thin really gets you nowhere. It's something I try and remind myself of every day. Love these Master Class episodes. Keep it up!
I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my portfolio for retirement. I'm seeking to invest $200K across markets but don't know where to start.
This seems like the worst period.Even the markets are very unpredictable.started investing recently when the market prices were a bit high, today i am more than 60% down
Sometimes realistic factors discourage people from reaching their goals in life. For instance, I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value
Having an investment advisor is the best way to go. Based on a direct encounter with a CFP named Kate Elizabeth Amdall, I can say with certainty that their skills are excellent. She helped raise over $580,000 in 18 months from an initially stagnant portfolio of $150,000
That's rad! I have written letters to mine at pivotal points in their childhood and figure I'll give them to them when they get married or graduate college.
Life is weird, beautiful experience when you step back and look at it. Grateful to be here with you all, working with a financial advisor could truly set you up in life. I’m delighted to contact a financial coach Courtney Heath Williams, earlier this year because while others were busy whining about the downturn I was busy cashing out from my investment, finally making over 7 figured for the first quarter of the year.
I understand that tomorrow isn't promised to anyone, but investing today is hard for me now because I have no idea of how and where to invest in. I would be happy if you could share more info on how to connect with your financial advisor, as i am ready to go the passive income path?
Needed to see this today, struggling with my finances for months now after my divorce, I just discovered his outstanding resume when I searched up his username. I count it a blessing that i came across this comment..
Courtney Heath Williams. Has helped me become debt-free and save for retirement." | made over 220K during the crash in the financial market, which made it clear there's more to the market than we average joes know. Having a financial advisor is currently the best course of action.
Amazing advice. I started listening to MFM a few months back and it's been a really insightful and educational experience for me. I was so used to social media making me feel out of place with this mindset I have, but I feel right at home listening to MFM. keep it up guys!
We experienced the peak of our era, and now it is gone. Recession is tanking everything including 401K. My retirement equities portfolio of $750K is in the reds. I keep losing because of inflation. This world will fall to the corrupt rulers in the same way that Rome did. I'm sorry if you're thinking about retiring and you're worried that your pension won't be enough to meet the rising cost of living. Horrible foreign policies everywhere, bad regulatory policy, bad fiscal policy, and bad energy policy.
For retirees and those close to retirement, I believe it's particularly challenging. All those years of labor only to lose it all to a problem you weren't responsible for, my regrets to everyone retiring during this time.
I'm very worried about the future and where we're all heading, especially in terms of money and how to get by. I'm considering making my first investment in the stock market, but how can I do so given that the market has been in a mess for the majority of the year?
To survive in this volatile market, it's crucial to have a well-diversified portfolio. I worked closely with Rebecca Martin Watson to identify potential opportunities and allocate my investments wisely across different sectors and asset classes.
@LillthAlbert-sj3og I found some testimonials online. People have praised Rebecca Martin for her deep knowledge of the stock market, her ability to analyze trends, and her guidance in making profitable trades. Many have mentioned that she helped them grow their portfolios significantly.
Absolutely. Let's take this opportunity to make informed decisions, learn from an expert, and work towards our financial independence. Rebecca Martin Watson might be just the person we need to turn our dreams into reality.
I started watching mfm after shaan's 12 frameworks podcast . I love these podcasts because it focusses on categorising complicated stuff in your head I am a type of person who clearly wants to understand things before taking any step otherwise when I see people flexing about their wealth or money they earned I feel like without understanding it's a gamble . If it's a gamble then why to even expect to be wealthy . But through podcasts like these I get clear headed as to what long term thinking I have to have in order to make sure I am not hitting withy eyes closed.
10 affirmations from Shaan’s wisdom 1. I find joy in what feels like work to others, this is my sweet spot. 2. I am open to learning and growing, constantly seeking knowledge in areas that interest me. 3. I surround myself with people who inspire me and push me to be better. 4. I am patient, waiting for the right opportunities rather than rushing into decisions. 5. I am proactive, taking massive action on advice and opportunities that align with my goals. 6. I am adaptable, ready to seize new opportunities when they arise. 7. I am focused, not distracted by every new trend or shiny object. 8. I am committed to my goals, willing to put in the time and effort to achieve them.m 9. I am confident in my abilities and trust my instincts when making decisions. 10. I am on my way to wealth, not just financially but in all aspects of my life.
Smashed it out of the park with this one! Especially the Intensity lesson. I've been dabbling around on levels 3-5 and know what level 7 looks like. Level 15 defo exists and know I will hunt for the winner who play at that level and do my best to connect with them. Thanks Shaan!
that "just ask the mentor you want a question" idea has worked for me in the past. and i never thought about it that way, but yeah the "do what feels like play to you and work to others" definitely rings true. normally, i'd skip past a video with this title. but i knew you were gonna bring the goods, and you didn't disappoint. thanks
Been looking for mentor for a couple of months now and your perspective about not needing to be in physical contact with someone to have them as mentor and just surrounding yourself with people you look up to throught podcast and other media really hit me. Appreciate that you take the tame to share this with us. Thanks!
Insightful video. I just want to know best how people split their pay, how much of it goes into savings, spendings or investments. I'm 27, and earn nothing less $150k per year, but nothing to show for it yet.
When people have money, they spend it. And some people spend more money when they have more of it. If you want to improve your financial management, you should consult with a financial advisor.
@@greekbarrios That's right, you can avoid the traps of lifestyle inflation by consulting an expert advisor to help you plan for your short- and long-term goals; it all comes down to proper guidance. Over the past two years and six months, I have seen my income build wealth and now have a fully paid off house and at least $650,000 in stocks. All this is the result of subsequent investments with my savings and the application of expert advice.

The rich are money minded. That is one thing I learnt from the start. I have always wanted to build wealth. I have set out $80k that I had been saving since 2020, and I want to put it in the stock market so I can grow my wealth. Any recommendations?
In fact, people underestimate how much they can make in the stock market. Started investing $60,000 in REITs and dividend-paying stocks just before the pandemic hit. A lot of people's portfolios went haywire, but I persevered with my financial advisor and even made more than $86,000 within just five months of starting and it's been a blast ever since.
I've heard about this before, but I just don't know how I can find such an excellent advisor. If you would be so kind, may I ask who your financial advisor is?
The thing is, I really don't like giving such recommendations. Conduct your due diligence. I have been working with "LISA ELLEN SHAW" for about four years now and she has had decent returns. If it is at your discretion, you can proceed.

Great advice, Shaan. Hope this becomes the first in a series.
1. What and with who you work with is more important than how hard you work
2. Hang out with money. Changed your conversations, change your thinking, change your actions, change your results.
3. Small swings to fat pitches. Don’t swing at everything, learn to identify the best opportunities, and when you swing, swing hard.
Be careful. Look carefully at his handle. He is not Shaan.
You are right 💯💯💯

my biggest take away from loosing over 250k in funds / literal ponsi scheme: just because "smart people" are investing, does NOT mean you should. 1. understand the business or offering from your own first principles.
What scheme was it?

Keep it up!

Having an investment advisor is the best way to go. Based on a direct encounter with a CFP named Kate Elizabeth Amdall, I can say with certainty that their skills are excellent. She helped raise over $580,000 in 18 months from an initially stagnant portfolio of $150,000

I love this series! Keep the Money Wisdom Masterclass coming!
Seems like your attitude is worse than anything you described.
Take that pension or 401k and invest it.
The thought of retirement is a sham.

10 affirmations from Shaan’s wisdom
8. I am committed to my goals, willing to put in the time and effort to achieve them.m
9. I am confident in my abilities and trust my instincts when making decisions.
10. I am on my way to wealth, not just financially but in all aspects of my life.

When my cousin came back from Vietnam he was very successful with his money before he was even 27 alarm my family members had him someone to look up to because of his smart not saying that the rest of us weren't that smart but he's the first in a long time that was successful in about 100 years you kind of remind me of that thank you for your time
You guys are making a huge impact on how a generation of entrepreneurs think and act. Amazing content. Thank you.
Love the Intensity > Strategy bit..

Sent here from a guitar teacher and I found it very valuable. Your Three shifts can easily be applied to my guitar journey!

Thanks great video. Been binge watching your videos getting inspired to get back out there to hustle. Took off a few years as a poor retired guy who doesn't need much so really doesn't have to do too much. Trying to find the next big thing in life after a few huge reinventions of who i am. From high school dropout going to jail all the time to nyc corporate succe$$ with some real estate to buying 30 acres in amish country and living in an old airstream renting out some campsites to cafe owner and now funemployed trying to find out next chapter! Thanks for your time!
This was great education. "what you do is more important than hard work" That’s my biggest take away. Thank you
Best comment made by one of my professors: "It's not what you can do. It's what you can get others to do for you".
Shaan, awesome video. I’ve been studying this stuff for at least 10 years and I learned more than 3 new things from you in this video. I shared it with 4 people just while watching. Great presentation and content!
Just wanted to reach out and say thanks. I found this channel about 4 months ago, I just want to say I listen to you and Sam all the time but this video is my favorite. Cheers J
We need part 2!
Love this 🙌 especially the mentor approach. Always look forward to listening to MFM, keeping me informed and inspired from Samoa!

So I subscribe to MasterClass the app. $120 annually. And this beats many of the courses I listened to. And this is only a few pages of your black book. Let it rip! Do a dozen more, go deeper, share more anecdotes. And I would pay for this Small Boy library! Keep it up, Shaan! ❤
Ps - I’m one of your 4 female listeners :)
