this game is so good, it achieved what advent children combat looks like, and it also feels just as good, which i hear is what they wanted to do with FF13.
This series deserves a proper console release. 3v3 was such a terrible idea for the game, I hope Square gives it another shot and refines the fighting mechanics to make the game competitive. Duodecim is still excellent.
Honestly, that ain't even the half of it. That being said, this Squall player deserved that loss. The Emperor is tricky, (and one of my personal favourites), but he's by no means unapproachable. Squall is my absolute best and most favourite character in this game, and I could've easily beaten this Emperor. Rough Divide breaks through the Flares, even sends back the Ground Flares, then keep jumping away from his Thunder Crest and simply dash through most of his other attacks. And that bit at 15:01 where he blocks, The Emperor has no ground attacks, other than Landmine that can be blocked. Bombard is unblockable and even sends back his own Ground Flares and attacks such as Terra's fully charged Meltdown and Thunder Crest is outright unblockable. Hell, this Emperor didn't even use Dreary Cell, an absolute must against an opponent like Squall who rushes in with plenty of forward momentum in his attacks. (Launch a Thunder Crest and then drop a Dreary Cell in there, boom: nightmare fuel in HP attack form).
Man that Cloud vs Squall match in the beginning were full of misplays from the Squall player. Even with the W, I can't help but feel disappointed at that play. Using Fated Circle when Cloud is using Cross Slash is asking to get hit.
Probably because they keep dodging each other’s attacks while throwing a bit of magical spells here and there, instead of outright one blitzing the other
Oh my i played this when i was about 9-12 yrs old. I can still tell when an enemy will quick or hard attack during chases. Good timesss. I hope they bring this back but better hehe
Dlc costume based of Aya Brea from the The 3rd Birthday (Parasite Eve)... She (Aya) too has a dlc costume of her wearing Lightning's dress and appearance
I would rather see actual tournaments of Duodesim than NT but the really sad thing is that rewards defensive the most just because the gameplay, what it makes it more hit n run, counterattack, more dodge than blocks, wait till something happen etc. A really sad escenario
He pressed it too early. You have to be in hitstun to activate EX Revenge. If you press it while you're just staggered from being blocked, you'll go into EX Mode.
Is it me or they suck? Lol ? I used to fight one hour with my friend i took forever to finish one fight because we were so good we could read moves so well 😂
That is why tournament champions arent really the best of all players because not everyone has the chance to participate in these tournaments. There may be hundreds of players better than them but wasnt able to participate
I mean shit, I've beaten the entire story mode, final Feral Chaos included. The AI in those fights are more terrifying than most of the players shown, although a couple are quite formidable.

As an Emporer player, I may say that the Emporer in this video did extremely well, he knew what he was doing.

What really killed NT is no local play on the same system ,force team up and no ex bursts. Like at was one selling point for me (ex burst).

This gave me memories. But ngl I think I would have beat the most players here. They don’t use a assist to Hp combo after a wall hit
God I wish I got to play Duodecim multiplayer. At least solo is still a lot of fun

How do you guys just dodge so easily in chase sequences. Must be some killer reflexes or amazing luck.
You get used quite easily with the speed later, the chase speed in the first Dissidia was insanely slow compared and very easy

I miss the depth dodge cancelling gave the first game. Duodecim is still fun though. NT is balls.
Why is he relying so much on BZ. It's very easy to dodge. He couldve used RD or AC to surprise cloud.
For me duodecim is way more fun to play than nt the only difference of them are the graphics

If it took you forever to finish one fight it is because you are a predictable scrub that cant chain combos.
