Guys just a heads up, there is Marine specific wiring that is to be used for the vessels electrical system that is designed not to corrode and insulation designed not to crack from the huge temperature swings and UV intrusion.
yeah, having untinned copper the corrosin will literally whick up the entire cable and turn it all black and stiff. Then the resistance will increase and the insulation will harden and it will wear out. It will take 1-10 years but then it will turn into a resistor and catch fire. Had this happen on our boat due to previous owner being a cheapskate, had to rewire everything to be safe.
To be fair, the LAST thing you want to hear on a boat is "There are now extra holes in the wall." Traditional houses tend not to sink when there are extra holes in the wall.

@@ngwoo Hell it could go further than that - Small electric trolling motors exist, so you could technically (slowly) drive the boat around entirely by the power of the sun, no big motor needed - At least on a calm day.
@@Krutonium Sadly the smaller motors are only around 0.3hp or less. Big ones also exist, though 8-16hp is rare and expensive. When you go internal, you can get the horsepower, but at a large cost due to battery bank size needs. So an alternative is to go electric, with a genny, so "hybrid" (as many giant boats do, but can be scaled for smaller boats depending on speed/size). I'm near a place that makes electric powered house boats. Due to the UKs small rivers and canals, these only need to go around 6mph so can be small pancake motors and about 1-2kw (at 12v) of solar panels. Motor is around 48v though IIRC so you can end up needing a day or two to charge for around 4-8h cruising time. But in full sun, and just coasting along at min revs, you might only draw the 1-2kw that the solar brings in, so "free" fuel.

But what if the pc is in water aldready? Sucking it up and pushing it warmer out, no reservoir. It can even be a small additional thruster. Or I don't know, hook up to the waterjet thruster of some boats bypassing the need for pump.
I only follow SV Delos when it comes to boating but their boat work vids are my favorite. A lot of it is technical stuff like wiring and engine work and they've done solar panels and satellite internet too. Probably not what you're looking for but just thought I'd mention them because they're not your typical millionaire yacht channel.

first i am amazed at the space you have to work in in that boat for wireing , heck you even got in next to the engine. as someone who works in a marina with pleasure boats like this i know how cramped they can get while working on them. also with the flex of that monitors back and know that boats are not always level and can rock around alot i bet it won't be long before that monitor is sitting on the bunk with the backplate still attached to the mount.
Kinda, but not really. When I was getting a small TV like two years ago, I only found a couple from weird brands and they all turned out to be rebrands of the same generic Chinese garbage TV. Since I really had no other choice, I bought one, but man, is it bad! A TN LCD screen from twelve years ago has better viewing angles than this piece of shit, the sound is terrible and the software is slow and randomly freezes every couple weeks. So if you talk about actually usable TVs, small TVs really don't exist anymore.

He probably means small TVs with decent quality. Things like HDR support, good brightness (since it's on a boat), and so on. The only small TVs I've seen, have been super budget ones. Horrible picture quality.

Add salt water to the mix and all those cables and terminals will be corroded. Very dangerous.
