Love watching these challenges. I have muscular dystrophy and I still run. However because of this I tend to fall and stumble a fair bit but running helps me mentally so we must keep going! Well done both!!

    "Swallowed a fly.. protein" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I've only fallen once whilst running but it was a proper wipe out on the pavement. It was about 6am so no one really around but I literally hit the pavement palms first and bounced back up again so no one would see me 🤣 Scraped hands, knees and shins, but I carried on and finished the run anyway 😜 Was definitely bruised the next day though!

I’m amazed Andy hasn’t learned that going off too fast is a recipe for pain. Especially in a Running Channel challenge.

Great race and challenge, I knew Sarah would win 🤩. I fell recently on my first half marathon attempt whilst trying to socially distance and overtake some walkers on the same path. I badly injured my face and broke my nose but the worst thing was loosing the confidence that I would ever be able to complete a half marathon. Last week on my long run I felt really good and decided to go for it, so even though it wasn't a race I finally achieved it and it felt so good.

Consistency over speed any day? I agree. I gave up on my speed for the fun of hills and trails and would never look back. But both routes looked pretty stunning!

DHB for meee!!!!! My funniest/worst fall was when I was running in the snow. I was running carefully with no problems. A car pulled into a cross street to turn in front of me, they saw me and waved me to go in front of them once they stopped. I was more focused on not running into the car than the footing and stepped on a manhole cover.... that was frozen solid! So I slipped and fell right in front of them. I got up and hobbled away like I was fine. The person got out of the car to try to check on me, but I kept hobbling/running and assured them I was fine. It tore my pants on the knee and my shirt on the elbow. It was quite painful, but even more embarrassing!

My funniest/scary moment was running in the dark, past a bus shelter when totally unexpectedly, a black binliner blew out of the shelter and "chased me" before I realised what it was. I did utter a small "girly" scream and almost fell over as my legs turned to jelly because I thought it was a big dog.😄 I'm always a bit wary of bus shelters now.

My worst fall ever was during a trail run in the midst of December. A tree had fallen and blocked a small bridge over a creek. It did not look that far to jump over the creek next to the bridge. I gave it a try and landed on the other side. Unfortunately, I had to make a small correction of how I stood at the shore to make my way away from the water behind me. My center of gravity shifted, and I fell backside first into the creek. My entire upper body and behind were wet. I had to run home like that for 3 miles, in -5 degrees Celsius. Most miserable 3 miles of all time.
Congrats Sarah for finishing Amsterdam Marathon and beating Andy in this challenge.

Excellent video and a beautiful setting paticularly for the trail run. My funniest fall was when I slipped and ended up sliding along the path on my bum for about 5m luckily it was thick mud so I didn't get hurt. Unluckily, I then had to run through the grounds of a country house, the tourists and picnicking families had some very strange looks for the guy covered head to toe in mud.

Mid-video, I'm gonna say Andy wins, just because of his competing experience.
Funniest thing? I don't know. A couple years ago when I was on my run barefoot and going up a hill, an old man, maybe 70 years old or so and cycling, started talking to me, asking what kind of distances I had run and what I was training for (a 10k race, I hadn't run farther barefoot at that point). He was not only a nice bloke, but a super experienced runner. Turns out he had done more than 500 marathons in his time. He couldn't do running anymore, but was happy to be able to cycle around town at his age. The hill wasn't long and neither was the chat and regrettably I didn't quite catch his name, but It was a very memorable and suprising little encounter that I remember fondly. 500 marathons, sheesh!

I love the scenery of trails, but I've been scared off forever by the injury I got running at Devil's Dyke, which is on the South Downs near Hove. My foot landed in a big hole and I badly twisted my ankle, it took 18 months for the pain to stop! I still carried on doing stuff, but it hurt all the time!
Now I stick to running down Hove seafront or Hove Park, which are both dull in comparison to the beautiful downs!

My first long run this year involved doing it at night because I have kids to look after. I planned the route out on Google maps but it would become the most horrific route ever. The route involved some road and trail routes which sounded nice. I got stung by nettles, cut by brambles, I ended up above knee height in a bog and got lost. Instead of a two hour run it lasted four hours and I arrived at home at 2.30 am. Brutal Run!

LOVED this challenge, a true head to head! Congrats Sarah! I've fallen SO MANY TIMES in hikes and trail runs that my trail name is Flying Squirrel- because my friends think I should wear a wingsuit on trails for safety! 😆 A funny race fall was on a super technical hilly 10k, with boulders to climb over, slippery bog bridges to cross... and I ate it on the 1 flat, smooth section. I barrel rolled down the path, and jumped to my feet just as the runner behind me came around the corner. She told me she heard every second of the fall, while she picked leaves and pine needles out of my hair and clothes! 😆

What a beautiful trail! Must've been a lovely run. I'd only ever run in the countryside if I could.

Fell the very first time a couple of weeks ago. Clipped a raise part of the sidewalk and went down. It was kinda cool as it felt like I was falling in slow motion. Landed on my should with no injury. Madison my yellow Labrador retriever rushed over and gave a lot of kisses. Silver lining.

Great challenge! Worst fall was at Kingdom Parkrun, because chatting! I skinned both forearms and knees and ended up at A&E. The volunteers were incredible. I did manage a group trail run the next day, but missed completing that parkrun
