"He deserves a BIG raise!" What an annoying trend this has become. You have no idea what he gets paid. He deserves what he agreed to. His performance might allow him to negotiate a raise, but that's not up to you. If YOU think he deserves a raise, start sending him a weekly stipend.
@@MineStrongth I don't care what he's making now. He can plaster now, he is doing some fast, backbreaking work now. He now has two different trades, that he is excellent at. That deserves a second raise, IMHO!!!!
It’s fascinating to see how the building was ‘updated’ through the years. It’s like an archeological dig! I keep thinking you’re going to find treasures 😮
I have to say I never get tired seeing shots of the convent kitchen, it is truly beautiful. The guys have done an incredible job with the demolition, such wonderful work ethic. 😊
He did scare the life out of me when he did that. Yannis and Rick are two dare devils. Senior Mr Pethericks amazes me. What stamina!!!! Pl be extra careful. 🙏🙏🙏
I had to scroll quite a ways to find someone who commented on the guys clearing the floor. I felt absolutely anxious watching them pull up what they're standing on...without harnesses. I would've been scared to death!
Oh my goodness, just seeing Yanis standing on the edge wholst dropping parts of the ceiling through the gaps sent me dizzy with fear. I need a cup of tea to settle my nerves .😂 Well done, everyone ❤.
Another fabulous job by Team Incredible!!! Mick, Yanis, Rick, and Billy must sleep like logs! Billy, you are doing a wonderful job with the filming. I saw a coffee machine like the one your kitchen on the website of the Palazzo Odoni Hotel in Venice. The kitchen looks incredible. Well done everyone who worked on that room! I hope that in the reception area of the Convent there will one day be a picture of everyone who brought the Convent back to life. What a legacy to be part of for all those involved.
Yanis isn’t skinny, he is rangey , lean muscled, and he is very strong. His confidence has grown amazingly over the time we have known him, and it is wonderful to see.🖤🇨🇦
@@user-hj6he6je7m Hope all the local people! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏They should be thrilled that their history is saved & appearance and reconfiguring are totally fabulous.
Love that kitchen. I am amazed how hard Yannis, your dad and Rick work. Can't wait the start of the library. Its exciting, like a mystery waiting for it to be solved.
Thank you for showing the cut away of the floor, it really helps explain why the cell doors are so short - they must have done the floor and just shortened them. So much progress this week, an amazing crew working so well together.
Mick, I believe you have a birthday coming up? Hope your day is wonderful fun, with plenty of laughter, beer, and fine wine. Here's hoping you grace us with a minimum of another 80 years of your mischievous grins and twinkling eyes! Love to you and yours from here in Nova Scotia.
Yeah, I always wondered why the doors were so short. That was interesting to learn why. All those Nuns were probably fed up of having to duck to avoid bumping their heads on the low doorways.
Jean from Suffolk Wow Janis really doesn’t have any fears. Up high sitting on the edge dropping all in front of him. You have a great guy working for you ❤
This project is going to be gorgeous, between this and the kitchen at the chateau I'm really excited to watch. Yannis is a treasure, please don't let him do his back in
Loved seeing all the different layers in the floors. So rare to be able to see this much detail. I have just started volunteering at a local castle and was asking about the floors there. Mick’s veg bed is looking amazing. Fantastic soil. We finally have some warm sunshine in the UK ☀️🏴
The builders of that time knew the benefits of insolation and isolation of the soil brought into the flooring. Amazing! You guys are working your butts off to get the tasks at hand done. Kuddos!
I think when all the renovation is done Yannis should be gifted the red crow bar for a job well done. In appreciation for all his hard work. Maybe a really nice paint brush for Rick. Hmm maybe a cute toy excavator for Mick.
Please don't ever lose Yennis! He is just too fun to watch is little butt jumping around working. He is much more amazing than he looks. Watching him grow is like watching my own son reach goalposts.
I love watching the team work and their humour is always there .sandwiching Yannis was so funny You have an awesome team. Not many your Dads age that work like he does. I was blown away when you said he will be 80.
BILLY, you are missing a big money maker.. .. A latex action-man type model of Yannis with attachable crowbar, plasterers float, brush, shovel, sledgehammer, paintbrush and many other tools and accessories
The amount of dirt blows me away. You could cover a field with a foot of dirt, maybe acres of fields. And you can tell from the floor beam of the standing wall, just how high they raised the floor.
If Yanis were to lose his footing, he would sprout wings! He sure isn’t afraid of heights, either, the way he balances on those joists! Do be cautious! Amazing job guys!!! 👍💕🌷🐻
Seeing Billy with the jigsaw showed just how much concrete was poured on those floors. Wow, then the dirt. That building has to be breathing a sigh of relief. Amazing space you are making.
Loved not having music and able to hear all the sounds of the chipping away of wood, dusted and rock being pushed around…very soothing for some reason!
I hope that wherever you still need the room doors in place that you can have a furniture refinisher glue extensions to the bottom of the doors to make them the original height again. A lot of doors are made with more than one piece anyway.
Well done everyone, I can start to visualise the library now. Those wee wooden boards that you have ripped up would be great for making panthers or raised beds for the convent garden.
Fantastic work from all of you. Nice to see your dad in the garden. It must be a blessed relief from all the dust. I’m wondering where they sourced all the mud for the building given that there are tons? There doesn’t appear to be any quarries within the convent walls? Your vision is well underway Billy thanks for the filming and lovely to see Yannis, Rick and dad, so hard at it. Keep cracking on!😅👏👏❤️❤️❤️
What a grinding job...I watch this with eyes wide open wondering why and how people lived in that for so many years...Billy , I'm glad you got your hands on that place....you and Gwen are the right people at the right time. I look forward to each and every video. Hats off to Yannis and Rick awesome job young men...awesome 💪
Happy for a glimpse of the amazing kitchen. I flash back to the pre-reno kitchen😮. Olive trees looks healthy, from a distance. Hope it can be trimmed into a nice shape, get a large, terra cotta planter on a wheeled platform, & love in the kitchen for awhile. Perhaps library sized?? Too unusual?? Try it!
Impressed that no downstairs windows have been smashed during the demolition 👍🏻👍🏻
I was just thinking the same thing! LOL!
Not sure if it was in the first video last week or one this week but one almost did
Ditto
Or maybe it was edited out...lol😅
I cringed alot!
Yanis is becoming a jack-of-all-trades. How lucky for him to work for you and how lucky you are to have a worker like him.
Agree, wish I could find a lad like him where I live, going to be a proper Maestro.
You all working on the roof ledge make me very nervous 😳😵💫
Great learning experience for Yanis.
Love watching him!
It’s really scary watching Rick and Yannis doing all that floor demolishing. I don’t feel it’s safe. They are so unstoppable and brave‼️😲
I hope Yanis' family is watching from Algeria so they can see how excellent a job he does..the man just goes full OUT!!
Algeria when was that said? Would love to see that footage. So nice to see him glowing with contentment❤
He looks like a one man demolition team 😂
If anyone needs any proof that the key to successful aging is to stay active have a look at Mick.
Man I can hear the walls sighing with relief. I am loving the library project!
Billie I really have to say I admire your dad, his work ethic is totally amazing.
Here here for Billie’s dad. He’s a machine!
It’s hard to believe how much earth/dirt is making up the old floors. Incredible work today everyone, sleep well
I was thinking the same, I wonder how much dirt/earth was used just in that whole section they've cleaned out
I can't get over how strong Yanis is. I'm amamazed watching him. He deserves a BIG raise!
He's a beast at the demolition lolo
Yanis is like the Energizer Bunny
"He deserves a BIG raise!"

@bclark5955 You don't care what he's making now AND you think he deserves a raise? That sounds like a contradiction to me.
It’s fascinating to see how the building was ‘updated’ through the years. It’s like an archeological dig! I keep thinking you’re going to find treasures 😮
Oh I do hope that they find a treasure … however, they are creating a treasure in itself!
If the lovely olive tree gets too big for the kitchen, maybe it could be a center piece in the 2 story opening of the library ❤
Yannis...."The lean mean wrecking ball machine". LOL!!!
Getting paid to get himself in shape. Yannis getting Buff,!
His muscles must be like steel cables!
Yanis needs a safety harness. One slip and he could end with a broken back or worse.
Rick and Yanis have become a well oiled machine, able to perform any task you need on site. Such an asset to the team. Well done guys.
I have to say I never get tired seeing shots of the convent kitchen, it is truly beautiful. The guys have done an incredible job with the demolition, such wonderful work ethic. 😊
Opening up the ceiling and letting all that light in has taken away any spooky feeling about the area👍🏻
Had to laugh at Yennis when he started to use his feet to push the dirt down. I'm sure his arms and back had enough.
Yennis, take care of yourself.
He did scare the life out of me when he did that. Yannis and Rick are two dare devils. Senior Mr Pethericks amazes me. What stamina!!!! Pl be extra careful. 🙏🙏🙏
So relieved to see Mick in the garden
Not only is that dirt older than dirt, but it’s astounding how much dirt was used for insulation back in The day! Wow!😅
Rick is so supportive of Jannis I think he is such a lovely, sunny personality 😃
Can feel Yanis's joy as he demos!!
I know right makes you wish you was there helping
Billy, I love seeing your Dad working his garden... he's a true patriarch and an abolute wealth of knowledge and experience. Your family is blessed❤
I like the tree but it should be the center piece in your garden.
I think up in one of the squares in the courtyard would look nice with an olive tree in it.
I think, olive trees don't survive in ormandy. In 60 years i have never seen one.
For someone who's afraid of heights this is just harrowing like watching a Harold Lloyd movie.
I had to scroll quite a ways to find someone who commented on the guys clearing the floor. I felt absolutely anxious watching them pull up what they're standing on...without harnesses. I would've been scared to death!
I must say Billy,Janis is turning out to be the best bit of kit you’ve ever come up with. He is a hard working man!❤❤❤❤
Oh my goodness, just seeing Yanis standing on the edge wholst dropping parts of the ceiling through the gaps sent me dizzy with fear. I need a cup of tea to settle my nerves .😂
Well done, everyone ❤.
Billy, can you imagine the countless social gatherings that will take place at this awesome venue when all has been said and done? Speechless!
You did an incredible job with that kitchen it looks so stunning like it's right out of one of the architectural magazines
Yannis has destruction down to an art form. He always makes his work seem so effortless.
He is the Tasmanian devil ( cartoon character) a proper whirlwind of destruction when he gets going!!!
The first 2+ minutes are sheer cinematic joy, beautiful music, great filming and editing Billy.

I loved it when Billy's dad and Rick had Yanis in the middle! Nice to have some levity on the job! Imagine all the jokes off camera.
@@marytaylor9185 I’m sure they have a grand time along with the working. It is so nice to see the camaraderie of a real team.🖤🇨🇦
I half expect Yanis to disappear through the floor, as he rips through the layers. He puts everything he’s got into every job he does.
That Yanis is a hard worker. You better keep him. Rick is also a great help and your Dad. Amazing man.
😂😂
The kitchen is so beautiful it doesn't even seem like a kitchen.
Pressure is on to anyone preparing something in it.
Who is going to cook in the kitchen ?
Who is going to read in the library ?

That bar, in Yannis' hands, is a precision instrument!
Thank you for showing the cut away of the floor, it really helps explain why the cell doors are so short - they must have done the floor and just shortened them. So much progress this week, an amazing crew working so well together.
Those beams would make great raised beds in the walled garden x
If you leave the metal I-beams in place,
You could easily install a second floor catwalk across the top of it !

That’s such a thick thick floor so much work. Getting back to the original floor has floored me.
😂
Oh, wow, the last part about how the floors were raised up and that is why the doors are so short. Wow! Crack on Billy! Crack on!
Yeah, I always wondered why the doors were so short. That was interesting to learn why. All those Nuns were probably fed up of having to duck to avoid bumping their heads on the low doorways.
Cough, cough, sneeze. Voila! That whole area is really pulling in the light now. Can a mess be beautiful?
Oh my goodness , kitchen looks splendid ❤
It is mind boggling the amount of material that was used for each floor....no wonder those beams are sagging.....the tonage!

Yanis has so much fun tearing the floor up. I love his enthusiasm & hard work. An excellent worker.
Yanis what a man, a rare find, you should cherish his friendship and such a hard worker nothing is off limits for him.
A demolition man in a beret is not something we ever see on a building site here in Aus. Add Billy’s music, always enjoy this channel.
I thought it was a public holiday in France, yesterday and today. You must be the only people working!
Yanis is a demo machine. Rick glad you’re back had hopefully healthier than ever. Definitely both my boys dreams… play in the dirt and wreck stuff. 😂❤

How I have grown to love each and every Patherick; but Yanis has got a special place in my heart now!
Looking at those beams, it's truly amazing to imagine the size of the trees it took to build them and the manpower to construct it all.
That kitchen is absolutely stunning
Look at how happy those beams were for being removed! Such big smiles all around!
Yannis's cap and the sepia-toned dust clouds are giving strong old-timey vibes!
So interesting to see the layers of floor. Always wondered about the short doors. Finally an explanation. Exciting project!
Loved not having music and able to hear all the sounds of the chipping away of wood, dusted and rock being pushed around…very soothing for some reason!
I see the tree is still in the kitchen, it needs to be outside
I don’t know where Yannis gets the strength from……. He’s brilliant 👏👏👍🏴🇬🇧 CRACK ON x

Yanis needs a big raise. He is invaluable
Can hardly bear to watch keep safe.
💕In some old buildings during renovations they put a mist of water over the dirt to keep the dust down💕Then re-mist each new layer💕
I’ll be glad to get past the dust and destruction and move on to the room’s rebirth.
Considering how slim Yannis is he has got some almighty strength in him, fantastic worker he just goes on and on without a breather .x
Yanis swinging that crowbar like a master samuari!
The kitchen is beautiful your Convent is turning into a chateau
It’s almost an archeological dig between the floors.
