I loved stun linking Kaz, very fun style and deadly in the right hands for big damage. I wouldn't have minded if they had kept this identity instead of making him mixup based.
df1,f+2 also was a NC on crouching opponents, not CH only. It was his low parry followup. Triple EWGF truly was hard; EWGF, EWGF, f+1, DEWGF was a easier (if you still wanted style points.)
With the amount of broken stuff (the fact that db4 is safe, skull splitter is good, electric and twin pistons did harm him a lot but they were nonetheless good counter hit tools and it’s not like the electric didn’t launch, it just was really hard to combo from, plus the gameplay of this game is so aggressive it’s hard not to ch launch with electric, also df2 being safe and db2 having the stun and he’s ability to utilize while standing 2 for a easy electric launch with links and bb2 being pretty nice, he is either c or b tier, I think he belongs in the b tier, he surprisingly is not that bad
Is db4 completely safe? There are 8 frame jab characters in this game (and 5/DR) but db4 also has a decent amount of pushback so I’m not fully certain.
@@JustAnte9557 I don't think he's on a par with King and Marduk (in my opinion, the two worst characters in T4), but yeah, Kazuya's pretty bad in this game.
@@JustAnte9557It's from Blasted Salami but his level of combo damage, neutral tools like Skull Splitter, Flash Punch Combo, Abolishing Fist, Stature Smash, Hellsweep, Demon God Fist... Lei and King had NOTHING from that caliber
If we could fix the gameplay a bit, and add online mode, it would be perfect. Not that I currently dislike Tekken 4, it's just the gameplay that has only some issues. Now as for Kazuya, I only can say that I remember his hop kick launching, and you can indeed do some type of combo after that.
@@davidparry5310 Yes that is true, but he has had it. I think almost all characters do. But basically you need to press up, wait a little bit, and press 4. That is kinda how it works.
@@davidparry5310Kazuya’s always had a delayed hopkick as far as I’m aware. Obviously a delayed hopkick and a normal hopkick are very different (delayed hopkicks are almost exclusively used to punish blocked hellsweeps) but he’s talking about delayed hopkicks.
Weird and Fun to my points. I may dislike some issues with the gameplay, but I do enjoy the semi realistic and relaxed vibe to this game. The stages, Ost, And effort story was top notch.
They can only tech roll after you hit them once at the wall after you wall splatted them. That combo was fully guaranteed, he could only techroll after the thunder god fist
What's wrong with Julia in T4? I know why King sucked, I have an idea as to why Lei was trash, and Marduk, if you ask me, is the worst character in the game, but why do you say Julia is bad?
@@davidparry5310 Actually now that you mention it, I'd revisited tekken 4 and I don't know why I always thought that Julia was trash, she was like Mid to A Tier back then, she had an easy wall carry thanks to her f, f+1, but some of her moves were otherwise unsafe, so she was fairly good, sorry for the misinformation.
I will always respect Tekken 4 for at least attempting to get out of the "comfort zone" and committing to its new concepts.
it was brave but unfortunately it didn't worked well
Tekken needs easier movement and a parry
I miss that Spinning Backfist! Very satisfying move to land.
indeed

The game wouldn't be the same cause it would have to apply for every character
Its crazy to see how different it is to the kazuya we play today
so true
The T4 rooftop night stage theme is the best. In fact, the whole soundtrack slaps.
Tekken 4 kazuya is one of my favorites
Despite EWGF being a counter hit only launcher, his WS2 combo set ups are really good.
indeed
Those Kazuya comboes actually looked awesome!
The damage was still there and it seems you needed more execution then vs now
I fuckin lived for the b,b2 iwr2, ss, iwr2 recrumples, boss shit
haha I see
@@mwkan772 did you see my Fak combo?

I loved him in T4. I was the only one among my friends who knew how to play him. Similar in T6.
great times
Perhaps we could say that this was just the result from the volcano
Call me abnormal but he's my favourite of all times! Well at least until we see T8 finally at January 💪💪
Awesome vid as always man 👍👍👍
thanks bro^^
I really like that normal hit EWGF. I put all tekken force members to sleep with that 🤣🤣🤣
I wanna see what these T7 players can do in this Tekken tho. 👀👀
So basically kazuya was broken and not broken at the same time
haha
dude these videos are so awesome
Glad you like them^^

@@bigbangbot-SuperSqank T5.0 is where crouching 1 jabs were slowed to i10, I think. Prior to that, most characters had i8 crouching 1 jabs.
T4 kazuya is one of the weakest T4 characters, make no mistake..
112 wall splat kept him alive in this game

T4 was so cool. 1 small balance patch
haha yes
Please do more of this tekken revisited :)

Why I didn’t like him for years tbh. He’s aight but without the WEVU WEVU tech and some pokes to compensate for the loss he’s.. just ok.

I do remember Julia being ranked C tier on tier lists but at the same time, she did really well in EVO 2004 so IDK.
He was hard to play for no reason
true
So Tekken 4 Kazuya didn't have any good tools in his arsenal?
