so Wille and simon are both actually 16 years old and august is around 18/19 and the actor for Wille (Edvin ryding) was actually 17 when they filmed the first season and the actor for simon (Omar Rudberg) was around 22
@@taketwo_TVhe turned 18 in the meantime and i believe omar refused to do any kissing/intimate scenes while edvin was a minor !! :) (we are also a bit more lax with stuff like this in europe tbf)
Wilhelm and Erik switching places on the couch is both politically important and a foreshadowing (which your friend will not know about. Spoiler!). Wille's mother is the Queen but his father is not the King. It would be important for Wille to give his apology (for being part of a scandal) sitting next to the Monarch.
@@taketwo_TV If you watch carefully (multiple watchings helps) you will find a lot of these particularly between season 1 and season 2. In episode 4 Wille complains about not remembering names. August says just ask him he knows all the names. Wille says do you want to swap? And then there's the famous fish.
When season 1 was filmed, Edvin Ryding (Prince Wilhelm) was 15 or 16. High School age. Omar Rudberg (Simon) was 22, but he doesn’t look it. Quite a baby face!
@@taketwo_TV lol. But it isn’t just young royals. Dubbing never captures the full range of emotions of the original for any series/movie. But I totally understand if subtitles don’t work for some people.
@@hanaj we both agree with this, just didn't want it to be annoying for someone watching the reaction video to be adverse to the video if they knew it was subbed and weren't into that! I only watch any anime subbed for the exact reasoning you said lol Edit: said dubbed instead of subbed lol whoops
@@taketwo_TV no worries, people can get very emotional and passionate about the most random things. I do personally think the original dubs are usually better, but I also understand that everybody has their own preferences. Most of my family also only watches dubbed movies, and when we watch something together we watch it dubbed. Having most of the actors dub themselves was definitely both a good and a bad move. They are not established, professional English voice actors, but at the same time, they could probably be the most authentic voice actors for the series as themselves.
i. totally forgot about heartstopper (and actually haven't really watched it myself-- only watched others react to it). that would be a fun one too..........
I don't think you get the real sense of the actors' performances if it's dubbed (even if the actors do the voiceovers themselves). Even if you don't speak the language, you can hear the different emotions.
I just cannot watch the English dubbed version where you completely lose the effect and feel of the show. Far better to watch/listen in the original Swedish language with English subtitles to get the full benefits of the true expressions that the actors are portraying.
I’ve watched it in both, but I feel like in Swedish you you can feel the emotions in their voice better!
that is what everyone saysssss.... perhaps we will do the swedish dub for the rest of the show 👀👀
@@taketwo_TV Please do, everyone knows it word by word anyway... 😅

yes! thank you! 😊
Edvin (Wilhelm) was 17 when they filmed season one, Omar (Simon) was 22, their character in YR the age 16
what. isn’t that like… illegal?
that's actually a really good question... maybe things are different in sweden??? unsure 🫥
good to know!! thanks :)

One scene in season four, they had to wait till the 4th of February when Edvin turned 18 to complete that episode
Wille, Simon and everyone in their year at school are 16 or 17, the people in August's year is 18/19.
this is actually soooo helpful, thank you 🙌🏻

Omar is 4 years older than Edvin. As of today, Edvin is 21 and Omar is 25.
Dubbed is always the wrong answer!
i know i know!!! i didn't realize how adamant the young royals fanbase was about watching it either in english or swedish... and we chose wrong 🤦♀️
