"I'd like to see the world for once All standing hand in hand And hear them echo through the hills For peace throughout the land" Peace. How much the world needs it now.
I'm happy to be from that time. People used to say 'good morning' good afternoon' or make a pleasant remark as they walked past you in the street. These days everyone has their eyes on the phone or ears plugged up. So we don't notice each other.😬
This was the first 45 I ever bought......I was 8 years old! It started a lifelong career in music.... I used to number my 45s with stickers. This has a “1” sticker on it! 🎶❤️
First single I ever bought. Not their best. Love Never ending song of love and Beg steal or borrow. Peter Doyle was my first crush. Was the best looking and had an incredible voice. Gone but never forgotten. RIP Peter Doyle.
There was a certain sweet thread of a hopeful hum on the earth back then, the air and the vibes were clear and bright. but in our hearts we knew there was a 'tsunami 'on the way one way or another, there are always tsunamis. Late 60's early to mid 70's was the last of the 'freedoms'. Free and loving people are almost impossible to control.
Too bad the world didn't listen to this kind of music before the wars started. We sang this song in Job crop, back in 1971 or 1972 in a skit, It was pure fun.
I'm so glad that a school friend told me about the group in the 1970's. I soon joined the Fan Club, I'm sure that I still have the badge (somewhere) which was yellow with The New Seekers Fan Club printed in red.
I was a special needs kid I'm now 41, i remember the school I went to and at assembly times they would have the whole school singing, this was one of many songs I remember, as an entire school the singing we did sounded pretty dam marvellous and the clapping came naturally 😁

This song should become the national anthem for the United Nations. I would like to see it in my lifetime. I am 66 years old and I could always wish and hope for it. I never imagine that in my lifetime I would see a Black President of the United States so its not to far fetch that I can see peace throughout the world starting with the generation born between 1940 and 1970 and with the younger generation of today. Peace let's give it a try, nothing else has worked.
we need a more loving compassionate world that cares for Earth all living things and people all living in healthier ways ..... maybe after the Pandemic we will have a better healthier loving world ??
Funny how the audience is clapping on 1 and 3. I thought only Swedes and Germans did that :P Still, nice to hear it actually performed live (most clips of this are playback). No autotune needed there!
Am a 54 year old, and am a Pepsi drinker,! 1st heard this song back in the 70s, when I was a kid, born May 23rd 1968, love the song,,! God Bless from northern Ireland UK, 🤝🇬🇧

God we need more of this and less division in the world.
I've said this on other threads here. If there ever was a time machine, the 70's would be over populated.
I remember hearing this in a Coca-Cola ad on TV back in the early 70's....memories 👍😊💕

The Ladies look stunning....no false bits,no fake colour,no bits hanging out...just real lovely women
Nothing fake about them.
The real thing -Coca Cola
Yes I hate how the bits hang out today. My mother says she likes those bits hanging out. I’ll never quite understand why.
Also No tattoos . No piercings for the men.
