In this video we’re showing how to fix the screen on an iPhone 8. This iPhone 8 has a very similar construction to the iPhone 7. This is a relatively easy repair and this tutorial has great detail to removing and reinstalling the small components inside the device including the dust and liquid resistant seal. I hope you enjoy the videos as much I do making them. Thank you for watching!

Very nice explanation with big camera. I wish the screws were really this big :) They are very small and always run away. They don't want to enter when reassembling.
Those pesky screws!
Great tutorial, actually the best one yet
Best tutorial I have seen regarding iPhone 8. Thanks for the long screws warning!
This one is now one of my favourite videos ever 😂 really tho, well explained, it only took me a couple of hours doing this for the first time and everything’s working
I’m really glad our video helped you! Thanks for watching
Warning: You NEED to unplug the battery BEFORE unplugging the screen cables
You could fry the backlight (not sure if on the screen itself or the circuitry on the logic board, but it's not good)
Do you need that blue device he has to repair it
how do you do that
@@giogamers4578that’s to keep True Tone and programme it to the new screen basically a copy and paste

I cant thank you enough i been going insane trying to follow other tutorials but this one was just so well recorded and easy to see and follow
Glad it helped!
From the get go, guides like this should start with a warning!!
Make sure you record where each screw comes from, and where they should return to! The screws vary in length, and if you put a long screw into a short hole, it will go down too far and damage the circuit board immediately below. Apple does this to hamper phone repairs. @2:38 There's a mention of the screen having 'true tone data' eg an id to link it to the rest of the device. Fortunately, the screen will still work without this. The same isn't true for the home button which is unique to each phone.
I ruptured the cameras and speaker's cable on reassembly and also ordered the wrong part. But the video is spot on. I will try again as I have not done this kind of work for a while and my eyesight is way worse than the last time I attempted something like this. Thank you for the video. Looks like the Iphone8 and the 8 second edition are not exactly the same.
Thank you so much for this. Your vid is perfect, no waffle, just the info needed and the footage is clear and concise. My first time replacing a screen and it worked exactly as described which is a rare thing for a RUclips tutorial and I had it done in under an hour. Two questions, what is the True Tone thing and is it ok to very lightly magnetise my screwdrivers to hold screws? It looks like yours is so I’m guessing it’s ok? Thanks again.
I concur with you. No unnecessary information, utter precision. Big up
thank you i need my phone done and i didnt have the money to go in and get it fixed i had a old screen that works and now my phone is fixed everythig works thank you
Great Video ❤
Thank you!
Touch ID still works after replacement?
Thank you man it works 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Happy to help
Simple and quick. Thanks. Went well
Thanks a lot !! Easy to follow
Thanks, easy repair with your video 🙏🏾
Thanks for the video buddy. I started my own repair mobile business not too long ago.
Not often I will change and work with old iPhones, but its good to know in the beginning I guess.
I just took of the speaker sensor and finger print without a problem, hopefully not too difficult to put it back on a new screen.
Thanks so much for this please continue to post and even more often we appreciate you
Hi, what's the hot air temperature preset? Thanks
Thank you. Nice informative video, very well instructed.
this is the 2nd time I've used this vid (and worked both times!) - my partner has broken her screen twice in a year - while I haven't had the same kit this is a very clear step-by-step!! thanks! the one thing with this refit is where the long screws go, its never clear in the instructions but as iDoctor says, juts make sure you keep them in the right order as you take them out! cheers!

VERY CLEAN REPAIR
Hey i have some questions pls.
I hve a habit of cleaning my phone with wet tissue offen, can that cause any damage to phone if water goes inside through the pots? My audio failed the output test at genius bar recently as well.
Do they have to change the display? Can’t they just fix the audio ports and charging port as having issues with both.
Hi,
How to remove the home button screws
Very detailed I’m going to attempt this myself
very nicely explained. thanks sir
Where do you get the water resistant seal?
Great video. thank you!
Hi. whats part i should replace if my iphone got wet?
Will there be true tone after replacing the screen?
Perfect speed to follow along but not be bored. keep it up. :)
Thank you for watching. i hope it helped you!

I have an apple iPhone 8 and the screen is frozen and won't respond and did the usual reset by pressing the volume up and down and power buttons and screen is still frozen and would it be possible that the screen needs replacing.
This is a good video but ain't you surprised to disconnect the battery to then reconnect it once we finished 😂😂
Any heat gun recommendations?

hair dryer
Great video, but I would have tested to see that it was working before sticking it back down
No need transfer data from old screen to mew screen?
nice work, better than the video i watched for my wifes iphone 8 plus
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank You Master
Do I need to replace the camera or can I keep the old one?
Keep the old one, just transfer it to the new screen 👍🏼
Hi, After replacing the screen, the bottom of the screen gets hot and I am unable to press the home button of my iphone 8. I checked with the technician that changed my screen and they insist that they have nothing to do with it
Thanks for the tutorial. I would like to check something on this replacement. I have one faulty iPhone 8 but no issue to the screen. Have another iPhone8 but the screen is faulty. Can I straight away swap the front panel screen from one to another without interchanging any parts on them to the working phone. If yes, will anyone be able to tell me which parts I need to move from the faulty screen to the working one. For eg: Home button. Thanks in advance
For reasons of security, the biometric home button is unique to each device, which means those need to be swapped across.
If the screen look like its opening but stay black ?
Looks like it lights Up but nothing shows on the screen
Check with a replacement screen
Thank you.
Thank you for this! It was quite helpful!!!
That’s a cool screwdriver! What is the name of it?
Thanks 😊
new battery and new screen work but, 'unable to activate touch ID on this phone' ;( I replaced a cracked white screen with a new black screen. It looks nice with the white button, but the button isn't being recognized. Does this make a difference?
This vid is a little old but hopefully someone can help… I replaced the screen but the home button doesn’t work. I’ve tried troubleshooting, even restored which made things worse. I’d appreciate any help.
Middle screw
Fuck this, I think I’ll just buy the screen and take it to the phone shop and let them fit it😂
So does the screen just snaps in?
Yes! Just be careful that you do not trap the screen flex cables when closing it up
I'm 12 and I've repaired a Gameboy a phone a computer but I'm not trusting myself to repair my own iphone
Y u lying for
@@bobtony8083 I'm not lying
@@bobtony8083 im not i did actually repair it
The camera screws are dangerous. Alhamdillah the newer phones don’t have them attached to the screens
home button nothing there are the most problems are located
Why disconnect the battery? Is this personal preference?
It prevents your screen from shorting out and being damaged when you are unplugging it and plugging it back in.
If I disconnect first of all screen and secondly battery is there possibilty that I damaged something ? Screen will be changed ofcourse on to new one.
Dude I just got this old broken iPhone and I want to fix it but i bought it from Amazon for 20 dollars
what will happen if you don't disconnect the battery
Nothing really but there’s a chance you could short circuit things so you should unplug the battrey
It’s not coming
wtf iphone 8 harder then 11,12,13 lol
Fr
This is easy af tbh alot less then I expected replacing my first iPhone screen
12 was a lot harder to get the screen popped out.
@@jde824 oh I'm sure
Boggling my mind with the 8 lol
