Boi this video is scaring the shit out of me, gotta get my portfolio ready for applying this year. On the other hand, I love how varied your pieces are and all the physical stuff looked super interesting.
Hmm, I'm not sure for the most up to date information, but I believe if you have physical work, it's good to show it. From when I was applying, they tend to look for students who have the ability to think and problem solve creatively and showing your process is a big part of it. Sorry for the late response!
Don't be worried! When applying to school I think the more important thing they look for is your ability to think creatively and the process you take when approaching your projects. Also especially in creative fields, it can give you an edge to have experience in other mediums as you can normally apply it to things they teach you in a different way. Don't be discouraged!
I took a architectural design course, physics, some other elective courses - I think advanced functions was in my top 5. I really didn't have a high average - probably about 75 if I remember correctly. If you haven't already a lot of your time should be spent building your portfolio :)

Wow as I’m finishing up my portfolio for Ryerson that’s due in a week... this was so helpful
Glad it helped :)
hey, I have a question does this portfolio do it before going to the university?
@@marahzyara635 Hi Marah! Sorry I completely missed this comment! Yes you should have a portfolio ready to submit along with your university apps!
This is amazing! ii love your pieces and it helped a lot for my application!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
For Ryerson and Sheridan, do you have to make a physical portfolio or can it just be on computers and stuff like that?

This makes me so worried about my portfolio. It's mostly traditional with some graphic design pieces, package design and a house model.

@@KyleCWong Thank you for the feedback. Also I summited my portfolio in a slideshow presentation, do you think this was a good choice?
Hi, I'm planning on taking this program next year, do you have any advice, also what courses did you apply with and what was your average? Thank you!
