    Hi grant. Great video. I have been painting nearly 20 years. 2 of those as a senior smart repair technician and j have to tell you it was the best decision I made moving back into a controlled down-draft oven. Working outside is 100 x more aggravation, so I really do understand the grief you go through. I grew to hate it in the end. I'm sure you will nail it 👍

      I dream of down drafts 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’d love to mate but I can’t imagine anyone would want to employ me with no qualifications, and tbh I probably couldn’t live on the wages

    Well done mate for getting through that job, what a shame with the weather at the end apart from the wind it looked alright but you got it sorted and looked good 👍

      @@grantssmartrepairs 🤦‍♂The wheels aint worth it half the time tho unless you got the proper set up and doing them in batches, that just my opinion tho probably because i hate doing wheels, smart repairs are better, maybe the smaller jobs if the weather looks bit iffy then if you get caught out its not to much to rectify, sorry mate im not telling you how to do your job i know how hard it can be mate, things will pick up for sure
      Im well quite atm and jobs i am getting aint great, i haven't recorded anything for 2 weeks and im struggling with motivation and stressing its getting to me man, im flat out dealing with things and not getting any where, busy fool i think they call it, it can be famine or feast in this trade

    You did well to persevere with this job Grant so well done for getting it sorted as that was a right PITFA!! I've been told that those mini extreme guns are a bit slow and they use a lot of air for their size but the good old Fuji came to the rescue so it ended up looking mint👏👍
    I wish my SLK was black, in fact any colour rather than the usual silver🥴do you think I could paint it black panel by panel in my little booth mate🤔not sure how I will do the roof and rear quarters though🙄😂😆

    • @grantssmartrepairs
      @grantssmartrepairs  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yep I’d get a few litres mixed and just use it from the pot, you don’t really need to blend obsidian black so you could do panel by panel, I’ve got some old heat lamps with no stands you could have if they would help they need some leads wiring up as I cut them out the van but I have leads for them

    • @JohnWD40TC02
      @JohnWD40TC02 5 месяцев назад

      It would be nice to do a colour change on the old gal but it's a daunting challenge as all the door shuts engine bay and in the boot would need doing then there is the cost I think it would be easier to go and buy a black SLK ready done😂
      Thanks for the offer of the lamps though mate it's very kind of you and much appreciated👏🙏👍
